birds i doubt you drive your skyline correctly.. you prbaly nurse it for some un known reason.

how many accidents have you been on before you call me niiave? car accidents are 99% of the time clear cut where the blame lies its not rocket science if ur hit in the right of from behind whose fault it was whether they've got a hyundai or a skyline.

you talk a lot of shit man honestly.. you cant even believe it yourself.

I nurse my Skyline throughout the course of daily driving because there's a time and a place for spirited driving IMO. I can wait til DECA.

I've been in alot of car accidents. Some my fault, most not, fortunately. I know alot of people who've been in car accidents and I've seen more than a fair share of lawsuits over car accidents. The reason I say you're naiive when it comes to car accidents is because you think it's so clear cut and that people won't do everything they can to save their ass, particularly if they don't have insurance. Work by the assumption that most human beings are out for themselves and even the most honest of people when fronted with a situation that can land them in SHIT will stoop pretty low to avoid said shit.

Hit from the right:

-Pulled out from a side street and you didn't give way to the oncoming traffic

-You were part of the oncoming traffic and someone turning right didn't give way to you

-You went straight through a roundabout and the people turning didn't indicate

-You pulled out of a parking spot and didn't see the car approaching from behind

-You both changed lanes at the same time, moving into the middle lane and sideswiping or lovetapping each other. Who indicated first?

Hit from behind:

-Driver behind didn't brake soon enough / didn't leave enough distance between car in front

-Driver behind got hit by car behind launching them into car in front (you should see the law suits that come from these)

-Car in front didn't have working brakelights

-Car in front intentionally slammed on brakes to scare tailgating driver

-Car in front reversed into car behind

-Car behind was performing a U turn at a median strip and plowed into a car reversing down the side of the street that he/she was turning into

These are quite common but even if you want to call them unusual scenarios I will tell you that it is usually an unusual scenario that warrants the accident in the first place - a change to the norm makes people f*** up during autonomous processes such as driving. Do tell me to go on with some more scenarios, but I know you hate my novels so perhaps my last post in response to you / this topic. Not that you were listening anyway.

Wow, didn't logged on till now and just realised it has turned into some fiery discussion...

I've been driving my skyline everyday over the past 6 years, both R33 turbo (in RED) and my current V with big rims.

Not being stopped once for no reason, the only times got pulled over a couple of time was was due to own fault.

my fair share of driving daily over these years I've noticed a wide spread of dickheads and tools on the road, consisting of:

- the usual falcodores

- magnas

- camrys

- 4WD (black ford & red shitbox pajero)

- white toyota corolla

- yellow S15

- blue V35

- bmw 3xx

they're just everywhere no matter what car they drive

PEACE! to all you brothers and sisters EXCEPT...

1. dudes with post-alcohol aggression

2. girls at premensis time

3. tools in commowhores

4. short mums in 4WDs

5. those with post-operative depression

6. anyone prone to road rage

7. hoons that don't deserve skylines

8. plods that seek out to defect skylines

9. dills on drugs 'n drive

10. ricers

11. grey haireds with impaired vision

12. car thieves

May the judges :) you from even owning a scooter > become a pedestrian ! :)

whilst true, unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful.

birds you just like to deliver tl;dr rants, tbqh you deserve the ribbing you get for having the POS stock wheels on LOL.

Yes obvious troll is obvious, just as unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful.

I see your troll and raise you another troll. What did you ditch the stock rims for RB20 fanboi? 13 inch wheels with 165/25/R13 so your car could actually move off the line?

probably not, like how we missed out on the CA18 R32 (dammit!)

Damn you could have had even less torque than you have now. Imagine how much fun you'd have f***ing around with that real drivers car that needs to be driven instead of sitting in 4th gear all the time.

I'd drive it to the LIMIT like all small motors are meant to be! if only it were legal to retrofit an a12 motor in aaaaah.

got your powerglide in yet? they are quite suited to the way R33 owners drive :)

just FYI birds, all cool dudes drive around on 4 space savers, shit is SO hellaflush

tbqh your car would also look better with R32 stockies lol

I dont really find there to be to much of a negative stereotype with skylines, the only old person I know who has even mentioned it is my mates dad who is like 1 rank below being the state police commissioner. Most of my grandparents/uncles/aunts and parents friends responses to my car are along the lines of: "thats actually a nice looking suzuki coupe (the "S" on the bonnet  ) you have there son, I didn't know they made sports cars.. which model is this?"

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
