Meh 3k posts is nothing.

I think Tharaka racked up double that in half the time!

why would i want some box? :)

and bozodos got a shitload of posts quick by trolling the wasteland.

GTR-BOY if you seriously are looking at n/a r33's for when your getting your Ps let me know, i will be selling mine in a month or 2 ( get off my Ps )

My car just has the usual stuff, making a healthy 123rwkw also (P plate legal) never had a issue with it in the 2 years I've been driving it, oh and its a 95.

cool, ill probably start looking at them around august.

how does the power feel? is it arse out power?

looking for a car i can also thrash at the track.

Actually they are a band off FAT WRECKORDS, which was started / founded by Fat Mike (Michael John Burkett) and his wife, Erin in 1990.

Fat Mike is the lead singer and bass player for the band, NOFX.

On the note of Nitrous Records, RUFIO, one of my fav bands is on that label.

;)

lol, im going to get sucked in to your little game and say NO! they are an awesome band, not k-mart clothing or nitrous :) .

i just finished watching a dvd of there's called nofx backstage passport where they toured some countries that no-one has played a concert at before, it was really good, they went to south africa and indonesia, china and south America and a few others.

Well I turn 21 and will be putting it up on carsales early July and being a N/A probably will sell like a hot cake to a P-plater. (if you look on carsales there is hardly any n/a 33's and the ones that are on there look like shit or have been trashed, took me a while to find a nice one)

The power is good, once you get above 3500-4000rpm you can feel it coming on strong, there is a dyno sheet in the n/a power thread somewhere of my car. Nice and smooth, made a extra 20ish kw atw then a mates 4l ford that had some work done on it haha.

Regarding track, I have taken it on Winton, went very well around corners but could not compete with STI's GTSTs down the straights for obvious reasons but was still a shit load of fun :D

Oh and there is another 33 N/a that has the exact same power (123rwkw) and he did a 14.5 down the quarter mile.

But yeh when I'm ready to put it up on carsales / forums I will chuck you a PM if you like

Cheers

cool. ill probably be looking for a black, grey or dark blue s2.. but if i find a neat white one then why not :D

is that the car itself making some smoke in your avatar?

yeh thats me at DECA in my avatar, back when i had a carbon bonnet on :D

I was looking at black S2s but couldnt be too fussy because most of them were shit to be honest.. one was in northern suburbs i looked at..s2 gts4 had key marks all over it was terrible.. was just a piece of crap in general. Trust me you will be like wtf hard to find a clean n/a 33.

I was going to ask when you were going to sort that out :D

Monday week away I start getting a whooooolllle lot more money than usual so probably then :) Can't wait to splurg on myself again, and my car! :D

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
