Yeah, would have been good to see you guys on the track more. Was good to meet some of you nonetheless. See you next time.

+1, only 1 lap for session 3 (group 4) was a bit of a downer, but no-one came unstuck on the day :) and at least the last session was dry :P

that said did get a bunch of photos should be up later this week when I'm done with the deca videos!

oh and clive very nice slide from turn 2-3...

I convinced Chris to come on the weekend. Don't expect anything special from either of us though. We are just coming for a fun session and to do some laps.

Neither of us is really interested in going balaistic anymore. It's just nice to get out there and have a good time and PI is such and awesome fun place to drive around.

I can't wait

Err, well done to Chris on the PB  We all knew you guys were sandbagging. :D

First up a big thanks to the volunteers :)

Wow what a mixed bag weather wise from hail to sunshine in about 10mins Overall I had a good day, considering the mixed weather, large entry list etc I managed to equal my PB of a mid 1.49.

One thing I will add is the point that some drivers ignore the blue flag trying to keep a faster car being them, only to end up in the kitty litter - what is the point? Secondly, what is the point of a slower car staying on the racing line in a corner, waving through a faster one by pointing to the outside of a corner - sure it can be done on some corners but certainly not southern loop or the turn up lukey heights :)

Congrats to Chris, nice to meet you Luke and sorry to hear about the dramas that others had.

Ps the SM m3 is a work of art - think of the condition of the R32 gtr just in bmw clothes :)

Thanks, Martin. FWD in the wet is just totally good fun. This was the Lancers first track day ever so was an eye opener.

Loved the minis! now there's a real FWD performer (I presume they are also FWD)

And a big thanks to all the officials and volunteers on the day out there in the wet :)

Also those spectating at Honda Hairpin, miles from any shelter, were not very lucky. They would have been more lucky if they'd brought their poncho with them, which they thoughtfully brought to the track, then left in the car.

I just loved the PI track... Its a very fast track compared to Winton... Had loads of Fun.. Wish the weather was better...

Oh well, Atleast bcuz of the rain i got to drift also :action-smiley-069:

Thanks to Justin and all the other organisers..

yes indeed flaggies sure deserve a mention the day wasn't gonna happen unless we coughed up some volunteers.

also thanks to martin (emts) john (richo) and others for givin me a hand with my car and chris (scotsman) for driving me home.

ended up gettin back there about 10:30 that night with a trailer... luckily the torrential rain held off but it was pitch black and f*cking gale force freezing wind.. took us about 40mins before we had the lip off and the car on the trailer - lets just say it wasn't exactly pleasant... haha

the track is simply amazing. i can not wait to go back there again.

pretty happy with 2min flat for my first outing there hopefully next time my testicular diamater will have increased for turn 1.

that's not good, what did you break?... although I can probably guess lol

that's a great time Scotsman punched out, well done!

can't wait til I get back from europe and am allowed out to play again... I miss scaring the crap out of myself and breaking things hehe

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
