How is it all going Steve? Have you got the new exhuast one yet?

Mine is going E85. I need to speak to Yavuz in regards to injectors and the power FC. I dont really want to change the ECU but I want to be confident that the FC can handle the massive injectors at idle and what not. 2 bar here we come!

Mines going ok, the guy making the exhaust has had so much stuff come up there's been no progress yet so the GTR has basically been sitting around still on the 455kw tune. I've driven it a tiny bit but only backstreets etc no macpass or nasho trips yet

ID2000's are seriously the best injectors. The throttle control they've got compared to the old 1000's and even some big brand injectors is just awesome. Downside is the cost, but that's what big power costs I guess haha

I think I saw you the other night, I was at TC Brothers and a super clean r33 went past, it was Thursday around 9pm or so

The great thing about Yavuz is that he never pushes too hard. I've told him to push it as far as he can for the next tune cause its on e85 he may aswel. Did your intercooler arrive yet?

Oh also the rb26 injector plugs didn't fit, so 2JZ ones went on. No biggie, I think it was $26 or so?!

The issue is the distance from the plug to the injector, not the actual face of the plug if that makes sense

My cooler has been sitting in my room for months. I am just so damn lazy to put it on. Definately was not me at TC Bro's. I went to wakefield and cracked both my front rotors. My car is up on stands... got its new rotors on but just waiting for pads to arrive to chuck them on.

As for the injectors. Cost? Pfft. The GT-R is the biggest money pit ever... Whats a little bit more. I got to (well want to) run a surge tank... but I might stick that under the car. Not too keen on having it in the boot.

Yavuz. Yeah his tunes are (well my current one) is rock solid. Never knocks or carry's on. This E85 tune I want to see what she makes. I will be getting a 98 tune done also. The E85 conversion is a bit of a comparison done for a Uni final assignment. So it should be good to get a DIRECT comparison between the 2 fuels on the same dyno, tuner, car. I dare say my exhaust is going to hold me back a tad. At it's smallest point it is 80 mm. We will see what happens.

On a side note. I did hear on the radio today that by next month Caltex will have 10 servo's in Sydney with E85. Thats tip top! I knew it was going to be by the end of the year.... but its handy with them being around so soon!

Any idea of when the exhaust will be ready?

Would love to see it at WSID one night.

if that is the case - it will be time for me to do the switch to e85, otherwise my fuel system is complete overkill for 98 (and a bit of a waste)!

i also run 3 x 044's like steve

Laziness hey, I know where you're coming from then haha! As soon as I get back from work ive got enough energy to eat then straight to bed

You know what comparison I found interesting when I was there? It had 1000's in it and on e85 was struggling to break 400rwkw. Eventually it did 403 by adding boost very cautiously just cause it was a dyno day. Injectors on 98 were at around half DC. As soon as the e85 went in the DC went to 99%! so much for an extra 30%, it just maxed out straight away! The ID's fixed the problem but my car at least destroys that theory of 30% more flow needed.

Let me know when you go to the track and I'll come along. I'm dying to drive it fast again

Exhaust? Id love to know. It's not a priority for the guy making it right now. Ive asked Yavuz to get the tps gear in so as soon as the exhaust is done I'll take it all to him to see just how far the motor can go with the stock port head.

End of the day the new motor for it is the real one that matters, this current one is fun for now though. I should have pics of the crank in 2 weeks time

To be honest I'm worried about the box breaking, otherwise I wouldve gone to wsid already. The situation as I see it is that it's going to run too fast and get booted for not having all their safety gear (which I'm sure was designed for 40 year old rotaries with 800hp and tubbed etc), I'll never fit that safety gear so I'm banned. Id rather do a few runs at the texi with a v box (whyever they're called), yes it's not as official as the wsid timeslip but I really would like to give the big motor a go at wsid and after that I'll happily not go back :/

Thats interesting with the injectors. I have read that "whatever you think is enough with E85... go the next size up".

Next time we go I'll def give you and Marko a yell. Although I would love to do EC. Wakefield espeically with the power that our cars make I find you spend too much time in the lower gears. It did feel great grabbing 4th at 8500 hauling arse down the main straight!

With the box. Be careful. I broke mine on the street with not a very hard shift at all. It was only 11,000 kms old. Was not impressed. Now I have a OS box to try and break. Knock on wood that does not happen!

Maybe we should all go on the same night and have 3 GTR's getting booted out 1 after another. haha

My fuel system is almost there then. I have 2 x 044s to feed the rail and a walbro in tank pump. E85 looks like the way to go, shame we wont get it at the pump for a while here in Tassie...

see if i can better my previous run with 320awkw & did a 11.1sec

    • LOL, when one "money pit" is never enough Noice, and excellent work mate
    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
