THANK YOU GUYS - you have just been treated to a FANTASTIC DEAL !

nnnnooooooooooooooo!!!!

I go away for two weeks and now I get my punnishment! Never mind, thanks anyway for the hard work B-man. Having done a couple of group buys on the GTI-R forum I know it is a pain in the ass.

It looks like I may be switching to a different car soon anyway, so it's no drama

Richard

booked into the 3rd of MARch at 10.30am!

=)

cant wait to seee the results....

for most of those who are getting their windows tinted, what shade and type of tint did you guys go for?

I'm thinking of the 18% Cybertint....any comments on what is good and wats not?

got my tint done today. 18% Cybertint. I'll take some pics when it's not raining.

Robert is a champ! I feel sorry for him as he's got a lot to do. :)

He did mention that he might do some more tinting a few months down the track.

YES - I am not particularly happy or impressed by this at all.

We have had 4-5 people schedule the tint service, but then, on the day when Robert rings to confirm everything, they make excuses and want to re-schedule again.

For those of you who have cancelled on Robert, without calling him - FORGET IT - YOU DO NOT GET A SECOND GO AT THIS -

You guys know who you are - We have been given all sorts of excuses - Quite pathetic actually.

No Second chances guys - And no leaving it to the last minute to cancel.

I have put TOO MUCH effort into this for you to just treat this deal like it is your right to do anything you like. Robert earns his living from this - when you make a time, stick to it. Now some SAU members has stuffed up his week.

You have embarrassed me too - ..... not happy Jan ! :P

I WAS going to organise another of these - but not now ! For those few of you who have stuffed it - thanks very much - You know who you are - And you know I know too.....

:thumbdwn: :hellpisd: :blast: :goddam:

Now if you have a genuine reason for cancelling, e-mail ([email protected]) me and explain yourself - otherwise the deal is off for those of you have cancelled. You can't re-schedule - Capish.....

If you have scheduled - and you can't make it - Ring Robert up AS SOON AS YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T MAKE IT - NOT ON THE DAY OR THE HOUR BEFORE YOUR TINT TIME.... AND DON'T MAKE BULLSHIT EXCUSES.

:HELLMAD:

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
