Basically, was going to my car today when I noticed that this happened to my side panel. Any of the Curtin skyliners see anything? I was in P9B (close to education building 501). It appears to have been done with a brick.

I mean, it serves me right for parking a nice car in a carpark... But surely it's not too nice to invoke jealousy? That or I've pissed off someone that I didn't know about. I'm certainly taking the P plates down now.

I was just in the process of buying a 'rolla daily too! Grr.

Anyway, where are the good panel beaters NoR?

This is why I don't bring the GTR to uni and also why I don't drive with P plates up...

Pretty much. I'm actually surprised it could happen to me, I thought I was cautious enough (was my downfall in this case - I park next to kerbs to avoid door slamming - which also makes it easier to damage it intentionally I suppose). Parking office weren't very helpful either (no cameras apparently, and if there were cameras I couldn't see any footage)...

There goes my faith in humanity .

Damn... BL

Should park at P26C with me... Get there early enough and there is 4 parallel parking spots...

Panelshops - Advantage Panel and Paint in Osb Park did my previous GTR when I scraped it (doh). Cheap (cashy) and quick.

Oh I'd give it a shot if I wasn't so lazy - my classes are mostly on the other side of the map!

I usually park in a closer, more popular (= more witnesses?) visible spot, but I woke up too late this morning... Expensive sleep in

I'll call into Advantage tomorrow/wednesday, they do a good job? Might fix my speedbump related scratches while I'm at it :P. Haha.

that's f**king bullshit. I often see your GTR at uni.

I must also add parked well compared to some of the fly in students.

Lol yep, I do try and park properly to avoid assorted damage. Fat lot of good it did me :P

Haha. They did a good job.

Good stuff, thanks dude.

Some shocking drivers at curtin...

That couldnt have been someone slamming a door into your sidepanel could it?

Also, is the guy that drives the 34 GTR on Green Ps on this forum?

His always near me in the carpark near the basketball courts and the child care place... Not a bad car for a p plater :3some:

So... Got back to the car this arvo - wipers were up. Was that a joke or does someone not like me! :)

I'm paranoid now lol.

Nar... I was parked next to a kerb.

Is that a white 34 GTR? I've seen one parked nearby uni before. Didn't see Ps though.

Lol nar, that was me :D

I see a silver 34R every now and then.

Do you ever leave uni? I got there at 8:30 and your GTR was already there and I left at 3 and still there... =/

Lol, thought it might've been :D.

I left this afternoon at like 5pm and that was early :D Got there at 7:30am this morning especially to steal your spot.

I hate doing work at home (my house is almost smaller than my garage, which sucks), so sometimes I go early to get a good park and do some work...

Except tuesday, that's just crappy 8-6 :) .

*edit* Woops, those times did seem weird!

Sucks man! Some people are the true asswipes of society. Just think of them as the bottom feeders. They will end up with teh shit jobs, ugly wives, deadbeat (like father like son) kids and no future.

That's what I like to think of when my car gets broken into or damaged by dickheads. (I've been broken into 4 times and had a brick hurled through a window - so I know what I'm talking about.) lol you think your skyline gets some bad attention! haha try owning my car! lol

Fark 5am..... You coming from Albany lol?

Fair enough. I have a 10am start tomorrow so that carpark will probably be full by the time I get there...

Thursday + Friday off, 4 day weekends ftw.

Dent looks like it "could" be popped out... All the best man.

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
