well ur all a pack of c**ts :D

uve put me off the mini completely! :P

but im still thinking of the GTI 180...

with all the features it comes with std it would be silly to buy anything else and insurance is stuff all.

however after going outside and looking at my other baby with the round taillights im starting to want to do it up :D

my head hurts

i dont want a street machine... i want a nice daily driver that i wont be hassled by cops for retarded things like H patterns and Tyre freakin weights and whatever other bs they want to come up with. I want something where i can get insurance at more than 2 places which dont charge u thru the arse.

You want to help the government achieve their goal but deep down,

For 45k you could turn that 32 into a bloody animal and have enough change to reupholster the interior in leather, pay insurance for 5 years, servicing costs, and any defect/fine that my come along.

With resale value (of a new car) keep in mind that as soon as your arse hits the seat you kiss 5-10% goodbye. After 5 years it'll come down to condition/km but expect to lose at least 40-50%.

yeah, nark is a poor confused man.. torn between a girls car and his beloved skyline.. which way will he go? will he find his testicles in time? will the ongoing love of his R32 pull him back with a passion? will common sense prevail? who will be the victor? only time will tell :)

i still think my suggestion is the most appropriate...

..actually I think his recent loss to his girl has given him an identity crisis, maybe if he has the girls car he can beat the guys out there? maybe this deepset and unknowledged resentment of this has finally driven him batty?? its all mixed up.. may i recommend some psychiatric care?

did you know that you can actually import any mini that was made up until 1999 under the new importation laws? lol

be a true techie n import your car...

but still a mini... omg u ARE AMST TEH GHEY...

are the L1's baggine the f**k thru u yet?

The new corollas and camrys feel like u r driving a bus. Their new dashboard design is shithouse
I agree. Was just a thought i had, if he could bare with a posbox for a while.

But hey, sounds like a bit of class is needed, so a posbox aint the best choice.

But the more you spend on the car, the more you may spend on insurance.

    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
