it almost looks like the real output is the lesser 1 about 300kw , maybe the 526kw was cause it had masive wheel spin on the dyno maybe ?

see how the graph lines are identicle ! but 1 is less......

I dont think the pic is the skyline on the dyno. White in the pic and dark blue on the dyno. The car on the dyno has been in a few magazines, its called GTR700 from memory and it also runs twin HKS 3540s from veilside. Special order as apparently HKS dont have them in there catalouge. Definately not low mounts. It has massive power now and has achieved a 9.xx pass. It was shown at one of the melbourne car shows at the front (It was under cover to start with). I forget which show it was.

Cheers

Wierd stuff like this can happe on dynos. A club in Canberra recently had a dyno day using shootout mode on a dyno dynamics and we had a Honda Civic non vtec sohc (i think? mightve been dohc) run on the dyno. All previous runs this made around 55-60kw at the wheels, but this one particular run something went wierd and it went up to almost 100kw at the wheels (thats almost integra type r figures).

Not disputing the one above isnt real, just seems pretty hard to believe still running low mount turbos, mightve been dyno error?

it can be done with low mount turbo's in similar specs as the 2540's, ..........BUT that's with either avgas or a mixture of fuels.

then you have the issue if the dyno is calibrated properly even if it is in shootout mode (which reads slightly more) as most dyno's/workshops around australia are starting to use shootout mode to get consistency.

+ with a hit of nitrious which from the photo i can't see it hooked up.

just my 2 cents

Mario's GTR has dipped into the 8s, but we're not talking about that car... I have no idea why a video of it on the dyno was posted in this thread...

Erm... perhaps because i thought the video was pretty ****in impressive?

Perhaps i wanted to contribute to the thread?

Perhaps because it was a similar subject - one skyline on a dyno shown on a graph, and another skyline on a dyno in a video.

Perhaps i didn't know you'd all seen "Mario's" skyline before?

You guys should really lighten up. I'm talking about Morgs and Merli here. If you don't want me to post links to interesting videos then just say. I wasn't by any means trying to confuse people - the fact of the matter is if you can get confused between a black skyline and a white one you must be pretty dumb.

Wise words from a 20 year old kid from the UK, trying to tell an Australian Skylines Forum about one of the most famous GTRs in Australia uh.gif

You guys should really lighten up.

... and you should really take your own advice. We didn't even flame you for it, we just commented how your post came out of nowhere and didn't really pertain to the thread at all.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
