Hey Guys,

I know its EXTREMELY late, pretty much a month later, but HPI decided not to run the story of this trackday :D Unfortunately, the editor didn't think it would be relevant for the issue it was going to be released in :P

Things happen, but i really wanted this to be published, i pushed it pretty hard, sorry guys!

Heres my blog article with a little story and photos of the day.

For everyone who emailed me regarding photos, they are all up there now!

Pretty sure flickr has killed this quality and the low res size does too, but heres a teaser photo. Once hearing back from PI i plan on making a few wallpapers on my website from this event so stay tuned :D

Awesome shot right there. Great work

Awesome day. Think I'm still smiling.

The black 32 went out for two sessions as his 2l catchcan filled and overflowed after that. There was nothing wrong with the car at all but he didn't want to tempt fate on his first track day.

Had the pleasure of going out with him in the first session to show him some lines but was to busy crapping myself. We didn't get out of 3rd gear and the brakes were cooked trying to pull it up after each squirt down the straight. An absolute beast!!!!!

PLEASE tell me you've caught the power bug now and you'll go psycho on that R32 instead of stock :D

That's a shame, but their loss.

Why not post up the article and pics as a thread?

Can you please PM me details of exactly why not?

Thanks :bunny:

Hey Duncan,

Well i figured it was so late already that everyone had seen what they had wanted to see and move on, i didn't want to spam on the forum that's why i just gave a link to the post on my blog, but if that is what you would like then i can do that?

And Steve-O, i have PM'd you :P

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
    • That's my life. Past-Duncan has a lot to answer for
    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
    • I had to double check the thread title r34 gtt offset advice lol. Thought maybe i posted on the wrong thread. 😂
