The car was stolen from Freda St, Netley on Friday night. It was ready for sale with a fresh black paint job. If anyone has seen the car or know anything about its disappearing act please dump the car without burning it or contact me. Its uninsured so its had a massive impact on my family. Not sure what else to say....

Please look out for it :-(

did anyone look at it, ask questions about it?

did you give the address away to someone?

may be random, may not be.

best of luck mate, bet your heart is pretty heavy at the moment

sorry for your loss.

Its at my partners parents house, no one knows its there. Its deep in the suburb on a quiet street so I have my money on the fact thats its someone or a friend of someone thats drives past it often that is behind it. I really dont care who or why, i just want it back. With a blown gearbox, motor, waxed tyres i dont give a rats.

keep an eyeout on ebay for engine/parts, perhaps chat to jap spare parts importers to keep an eye out for someone offering the rb26dett engine.

sorry to say but In my honest opinion it'd be on the way to being stripped down and parted out

The only way we are going to lessen these getting stolen is for fools to put in decent alarms, kill switches and club locks. Why are people so stupid that they cannot see this.

Sorry for your loss, but you should have known much better.

You are dead right Jenna .... in fact we should tack on the end of that: " and don't come sooking on here if you don't have all 3 of these .... "

I really do feel for people who have their cars stolen - it is a truly terrible thing. But I (like most people) went out and put in a $1k+ pager alarm, and if I park it anywhere remotely suspicious will put on my Club lock AND put on my extra kill switch, and I would NEVER, EVER leave it parked out on the street overnight even with all these things .... yet people leave their cars out the front of other people's house with no alarm or anything then are surprised when it is stolen .... go figure.

Look, I don't want to harp on the poor dudes misfortunes so I'll keep it general.

You may think that just because there is no insurance claim to be made here, that there won't be a ramification to insurance premiums as a result...........WRONG!!

Everytime a Skyline (or any import for that matter) gets knocked off, it becomes a statistic and is therefore logged.

Insurance companies adjust premiums to their clientelle 2 fold; (1). $$ spent in claims (2). the ABS website.

Now anyone else on this forum without at least ONE of these items that Andrew has mentioned (ie. Alarm, tracking device, club lock or even a big dog), please don't complain about other members on here having a go about the obvious, especially after reading this thread and then getting your car stolen.

Please note, I have had a car stolen many many years ago and can therefore feel your pain, so this is moreso aimed at anyone who reads this and still does nothing about it......if you can't afford one of these security measures, you can't afford your car.

/rant....sorry to offend

Yep, I can't agree more Pete! I want other Skyline drivers to protect THEMSELVES - it is just not worth not having an alarm! I know it won't 100% stop a theft, but at least it gives you a chance.

Far out, that's close to home!! That area has been known for a few suspicious activities regarding skylines...if i remember correct someone was actually in their skyline in the front yard one night when another car pulled up (another skyline) and someone tried to break in!! Have the pager alarm and a club lock, so while trying to get in they'll have to trigger off the alarm...plus GPS...so if they do steal it one day, they'll be sure to have someone on their tail within an hour or two!

Will keep an eye out and hope for the best!

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
