I had this in my diary months ago! :)

will enter the display if we have one... didn't we just rock up last year, ie not have a proper "club" display as such??

Yeah, you dont have to have a display, but some clubs would like to, so they are more than welcome

So whats the deal with this...do we just turn up to ultimate tunes on the saturday?..how much it cost for a run pull etc etc...i can see any info about this?

Andrew

no charge for the show and shine, $40 for the dyno comp.

show up on the saturday morning, if you are in the show and shine you will be given an entrant number when you arrive, if you would like to entre the dyno comp head down to the reception arear and give your details.

hmm sounds like a gower from me >_< *looks at gtr* "hey wanna go to a social event? maybe harrass a supra or two?" :D

am working dat morning so will turn up after 12pm if the event/dyno is still on :O

Now THERE'S a SAU'er I haven't heard from in a while... Googs; how goes it, mate?!?

Queen St Customs are entering a JDM car.

So why not bring some other cars up aswell?

Also their are a few cars which are halfway between JDM & Sexspec.

Anyway, car scene has been dying because of gronks like you.

Aren't we supposed to be uniting? Doesn't matter on the car, just a fun day for all to enjoy?

Same for people.

You don't exclude people for the colour of their skin etc.

Another example was C4C.

Although it was an All commodores cruise, all cars were welcomed.

Many other cars other than commodores showed up.

Another example is the BAR B Cruise.

Some of the 2SUS Cars showed up and were welcomed in, as

these events are about unting car scenes and workshops together no matter where he/she comes from.

Personally, I like a mixture between JDM & Sexspec. To conclude, if you don't like what we're bringing, then f**k off and don't look at our stand.

Regards

I'm not trying to exclude anyone, just suggesting it doesn't exactly fit with the theme of the day.

The car scene is dying because of the attitude people like you have across all the forums. Scares the majority of the normal people away. I'd like to point out I just asked the question, you were the one who went straight to insults.

Don't worry, I wish to keep my food down so I'll be nowhere near your stand.

Queen St Customs + Dahtone Racing + SEXSPEC to make an appearance.

Don't be too hasty guys.

Haven't had anything to do with Queen St, but Dahtone came to the SAU show n shine last December and had a hole heap of nice cars with them.

In fact they were the biggest single supporters of show. Bar none!

Everyone likes different things, "sex-spec" is in no way my cup of tea, but seeing some of the effort that goes into the cars is nothing short of amazing.

As for being JDM, there are "JDM" cars and scenes that would make Queen St and Dahtone look subtle

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
