Now im not nocking your car, its not my taste, but hey thats why its your car and not mine, but to start flaring up at people and giving them a hard time for driving "some bloody toyota" is not on man. If we all drove the same cars, trackdays would be boring. I personaly had some great battles with a black non turbo r34, it was a very close match up. Check the photo galleries from prevcious skynats, there's pleanty of other makes/models other than skylines. Both josh and myself are fully paid up SAU SA members, and have been coming to club events for many years, so to start discriminating against us based on what we drive is both childish and just plain stupid.

Mate, i made that comment because Dohmar said he liked my car and the dude said "you serious??"

i didnt go around saying anything about that bloody toyota beforehand

Okay, we don't want things taken the wrong way. We've been praised for our maturity and professionalism for the weekend, so lets keep it that way.

At the end of the day, we all gave it a go and had fun in doing so.

:P

Rubes... i had a blast.... just that comment left a sour taste in my mouth... and the two fat moles at malala who looked at my car, laughed, and said "he cant drive for shit" ... put me in a pissed off mood for the rest of the day...

"Two fat moles" shouldn't be ruining your day Ben. You can't go rating your day based on what other random people think of you or your car. The only opinions that count are yours and family's.

Did your kids think dad was cool out on track? Thats all that matters mate.

:P

Thankfully I didn't cop any negativity (that I know of) when my Stagea went out for the Phillcom Time Attack. I was out there doing it and having fun, rather than being the 'armchair expert'. And I went home without a broken car.

lol... my kids thought i was number one.... did you see them try and outrun me on the start/finish line?? lol.... if they werent doing that, they were jumping up and down... giving me the thumbs up..... ready in the pits to help out if i needed it... and by lunchtime, my back was well stuffed... almost to the point of it seizing up on me.... they were a little disappointed that they missed out on the parade lap as i was lik a minute too late to get out on the track because i was putting my car back together..... but they couldnt be prouder.....

and your right Ruby.... saying that has made me feel alot better...

I had the same opporutnity to make Tracy and Cam think I was #1 some weekends ago in Perth.

I had the odd humorous, rib poking comments from my fellow competitors about being a "has been" and I should have stayed retired, where's my walking frame etc. But both Tracy and Cam encouraged me to go, and I was doing it for them. I also did it for me, just to see if I could still do it.

I left Perth with two 2nd placings in the Australian Titles and I did it for myself and my family ... no one else. You know what? ... I don't think I would have done so well if it wasn't for them either. Whether its for recreation, competition or just because your family asked you to ... do it to set a good role model for the family.

:P

This thread (along with any other SA thread) would definitely not be complete without a "Ruby's moral of the story" :P

My wisdom is free for all of earth's habitants :ermm:

Results will be up as soon as the CSA Motorsport secretary finalises them, and we figure out how to get the report off the screen into some sort of readable format. We have all of the finale rounds of results, but we still need to get them into a form where we can put them in here, without having to type the whole lot out again.

Patience my pretties.

Ok, heres how you do it -

Bring up the screen on your computer press Ctrl + PRTSCRN (copies the screen to the clipboard)

Open Windows Paint, Paste the screen into it.

Save it as results.jpg

Send it to someone here to host

Shouldnt take more than 2 mins at best :P

Just my 2c :P

i love that 32 4 door with the vented bonnet!

its a little banged up, but still looks awesome!

looks like a car that loves a bit of punishment

:P

now that i think about it, i reckon it was the only 4dr there, wtf? i swear there used to be tonnes of 4dr 32's, now they have all disappeared. think they have all been crashed haha

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
