As we do not sell them direct we will not post prices but give it a little bit of time for Dale to organise something and he will list pricing or what ever he organise in a group buy as we said before we are not here to sell direct just to offer parts needed for others to sell.

Dale will post as soon as he organises pricing and maybe an extra part or two.

:rofl2:

And yet here you are sharing your room with a tall lanky guy from Sydney

what's Scott going on about.....to much of the green shit bud!.....have not even been over to his house today.

P.S. Scott I think I left my 10mm socket at your house....can you bring it with you tomorrow!

Pricing?

Soon mate

I'll be running another Group Buy in February, to line up with the projected delivery date of the new Whiteline bars

Wayne has been kind enough to give me access to his retail contacts to ensure we get the best possible deal  .

Wayne has also sent me a set of Heavy Duty, Adjustable Ball Links for the rear Sway Bar. This is a known area of weakness as Andy and Aaron (possibly others) have discovered.

I'll be fitting these tomorrow, as I'll be doing about 1000km over the weekend. This should provide me with some good feedback and I'll be posting my thoughts and experience, along with some pics early next week. They are of a sturdy construction and have some very neat engineering features.

If all goes well, these will be offered in a Group Buy, or in conjunction with the next Sway bar Group buy.

Stay tuned, Dale.

Indeed....very interesting.......couple of thing's going to be needed in suspension for track day's...glad you guy's are working to get them happening.

........Cannot wait to go past some of the R32 and R33's and watching them scratch there head's at a wagon with 52/48 going past em!....lol.

Dale, agree that that the LINK is a weak point but it is not the weakest point. That honor goes to the MOUNT that is attached to the subframe. It is the same part as used on the Murano but it just does not like the extra stiffness.

Current sore is LINK = 1 fail.. MOUNT = 3 fails..

If we can get stronger MOUNTS made that would be of benefit provided it is not going to put more stress of the sub frame that could cause cracking.

Cheers

Andy

Want me to look into it Andy? Are you thinking a brace or a whole new mount? I may have to repair Craigs subframe for him one day soon too.

I'll have a look tomorrow, thanks for the heads up Andy.

If it's similar to the mount in the pic I posted for the link (The Black 90deg pressed steel one), it'll be a piece of piss...

yes, the brace is just the pressed steel one.

If someone could make a replacement that would be "awesome". It would not be complicated at all.

If you need I have a spare one at home with small cracks on both side that I can send to whoever would like to do the design.

cheers

Got some pics & measurements today, will be looking at doing some in 5mm stainless angle shortly.

Can you take a photo of where the failures occur on the mounts?

The mount is attached with 2 bolts into the sub frame. The bracket is positioned so that the the vertical edge that the mount attaches to is toward the front of the car.

I have attached a photo that shows the mount and has 2 circles drawn on it. These are the points that the mount cracks. This photo is of a cracked mount.

Cheers

Why stainless?

Freely available to me, and I like working with it.

They could just as easily be done in mild though.

Are you thinking about work hardening? I intend to put a couple of gussets in to eliminate the flexing that would be the cause of that cracking.

Was just going to make it out of 4140 or perhaps something else but a little thicker, laser cut, 20 tonne press to right angle bend, and perhaps coin where necessary, and then zinc plate it.

I was contemplating making it out of one piece (ie not welding anything) The coining would take care of the strength, or the thickness of the material. Without measuring, the factory one looks pretty thin. The equivalent in 5mm would be strong enough as is without welding.

What grade of stainless you going to run?

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
