Import Monster FTW!

Helps you can go down there in person and see the wheels next to/on the car, or at least get a good idea of what a similar wheel will look like, offsets etc.

Added bonus of having a well priced place in Vic/Aus as opposed to guessing something over the net/yahoo and not being happy.

I'm down there a fair bit, as are other SAU-Vic members I see when I go for my little visits :D

lol saw ya last time i was there (dude witht he chaser) yeap Aaron is your man if your in the market for wheels. loks after his customers. in the past 4 months iv bought 3 sets of wheels from him with the most recent being for my chaser. his prices and service is just that good. and he will help you out in giving you info on the best fittment for your ride.

also streeter is another option if you know what you want and have all the specs. you will just have to wait for the wheels.

+11ty Tyre Power in Hawthorn if you want NEW jap wheels, lots of quality stuff in the showroom instead of having to pick them out of a catalog. Great people to deal with, heaps of KU36's & Nitto semi's in stock.

OTR in clayton have a cool little setup with other jap parts, lots of stuff for evo's & are pretty good on prices, a few nice rims on display, can't go wrong with either of those two.

Import monster would have to be the best if you want secondhand jap wheels and want to save some coin. Would be surprised if you couldn't find anything you like there.

j imports (i bought my 19inch vs-ks from him)

jdm peroformance (i bought my 18inch te37s from him)

import monster - top dude never bought anything but have helped with lots of my enquiries

otr - seem to get f@cking awesome prices on good japanese rims

i wouldnt go any where else but these guys for rims

streeter is good and cheaper then local importers..

+1. Bought my TE37's from him, and they were by far the cheapest by at least $150 from anyone else.

My wheels arrived in around 5 days from being sent, so it was hardly much of a wait. Plus Jesse also helped me immensely (probably around 30 emails), in what offset/size/width would perfectly suit my application, and needless to say, he got it spot on.

www.jessestreeter.com Just send him an email regarding what you are after, and take it from there. dezz is another SAU member that has bought stuff through him.

Import Monster & Aaron will go to the ends of the earth to find you any rim you want. Their service and price is second to none. I have used them many times and will be using them in the next few days :P

+1

I believe that he even has a set of BBS LM's there now for the taking :D

I'd love some new jap wheels but the cashola situation isn't great at the moment. Plus I do a lot of K's, and drive on some more rural type roads out here so i'm looking for something a little more daily spec. Maybe some 350z wheels or similar.

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
