I'm sure everyones had their fair share of idiots on the road.

Somehow us good drivers seem to attract all the bad ones..and the mediocre drivers get away with murder.

Whether its 4x4's doing 30kms slower than the speed limit or douches entering freeways at 60km/hr, driver training and awareness of traffic and road conditions seems to be getting progressively worse each year, im sure you all agree!

I remember once when i lived in melbourne back in mid 2000 going across the western freeway and a woman had literally stopped in the centre lane of 5 lanes of freeway in the 100 zone ... and was reversing back to make her exit. in doing so about 100 odd cars and trucks went into all different directions with the first 5 vehicles nearly taking her out and she veered off to the left hand side to make her exit.

Nothing more suprising than seeing an idiot with their reverse lights on whilst your doing 100 odd down the freeway in a pack of cars and trucks!

worst for me, f**king scum cab driver cut me off in the valley - almost ended up parking the car into the front room of the press club because of this flamin mongrel.. Anyway, i've pulled up beside him - given the finger and a few choice words... Cab pulls up in frront of me at the lights (next to birdies) gets outta his cab - motions for me to get out to fight in front of about 20 people waiting at the lights..

this flamin mongrel then spits in my face, i get out of my car and piffed my whole apple at the flamin mongrel - missed him but smashed the back of the cab.. i get back into the car, lights had been green for about a minute - all this traffic had piled up behind me and the cab - i take off - cab follows dangerously close - stop at the lights again in the city - cabbie is yelling some foreign shit at me - picked up my other apple i had on the front seat - put the passenger window down, just as we take off im just about to launch this apple right at the flamin mongrels face - but then my common sense kicked in and i thought "knowing my luck ill hit him, he'll crash and kill himself or someone else"

that was 3 years ago now, and it still f**king boils my blood... complained to yellow cabs, they couldn't do anything - they wanted me to go get video footage to prove it..

in a nutshell, i f**king hate cab drivers, your all f**king flamin mongrels

I couldn't agree more! I've had a few cabbies cut me off but nothing like what u experienced lol i bet there's times where u wish u had thrown that apple at his head :P

I had a taxi driver experience too... well plenty of "whoa, what a tard" moments, haha, but one in particular still gives me the chills.

Many moons ago I was riding my brother's little CBR250 down Roma St and a guy in a taxi decided he wanted my lane, I beeped figuring he hadn't seen me, and he looked me straight in the eyes and kept coming - it was really quite terrifying. I was boxed in, not even braking was an option due to the actions of the car behind me, and the only thing I could think to do was to stand on the pegs and kick the crap out of his mirror. Thankfully that made him swerve back into his lane, which gave the enormous bloke on the Harley I'd just finished having a coffee with time to pull in between a scared-shitless me and the taxi, and in his most menacing voice he bellowed "F*** OFF C***". The wanker in the taxi promptly exited stage left. When I rang them the taxi company basically said that their drivers are angels and that it must have somehow been my fault, but that I could still lodge a complaint. I did that, then went to lodge a police report, they were sympathetic but said it'd be difficult to do anything about because other than a mirror there was no damage or injury. Never heard from either again, but lived to tell the tale so it's not all bad lol.

I had a gang follow me when I was 18. Was 2 commodores, a motorbike, a WRX and something else at the back I couldnt see. It all started with one bloke seeming to want some fun. So followed him around the round about. Pulled up at the lights, and he starts swinging a trolley pole at my lancer (bear in mind this was years ago). So I planted it through the red lights, after he made contact. Had my gf of the time aswell as her friend in the car. Within 5 mins there were the 5 cars trying to box me in, swearing and trying to pull me over (threatening to kill me)... so off I went up OG road running redlights at 180+ on the phone the police. They didnt help at all. Said they were going to meet me at designated places and everytime I beat them to it. They eventually gave up.

im gunna mix it up a bit and say my worst pedestrian was some guy seeing me going around the round about starting to come off toward him, he started crossing the road, i stoped on the round about to not kill him and stoped walking half way, finished crossing, then swore at me. tsk tsk shoulda killed him

Was he actually a tard? or drunk? Or was he actually so stupid that he thought he had right of way :P

i think he thought he had right of way, i was pretty angry about it because he was full going off haha, theres a little parking bay right next to the turn off i was quite tempted :P

Because of my situation above, I now been a trolley pole of my own for such situations :D Next time ask him what his problem is :P Not that I'm violent, people just think they can do what they want.

oh haha yeah, im gunna get one of them when i get my skyline (<3) next year, but as im cruising in my '88 camry atm i think ill be alright haha

What you getting? I bought a R33 last week. My first skyline :P Can't say I've ever really been a fan, but one drive in this thing and I was hooked.

Just don't let your friends drive it!!! Mine put it into a wall on Monday its only just getting fixed tomorrow. $2-3000

hehe couldnt agree more... i got picked up by a pakastani in a van taxi once who complained that all the bad foreign drivers give all the other foreign drivers a bad name..and whilst telling me this story hes tailgating folks , dropping in and cutting people off left right and centre horns and abuse coming from drivers from all sides and im sitting there thinking ..are you on crack buddy?

Just don't let your friends drive it!!! Mine put it into a wall on Monday its only just getting fixed tomorrow. $2-3000

im looking at a r34 gt-t, although i like the r33 body better, i want something newish too.

haha ive loved them since i first saw one :P:D:D so sexy.

lol ill only let a select few inside my car let alone drive it!!! congrats man!!!!

This is my best friend who let me drive his $15000 car many times... That includes once when I really wasn't allowed to...

I didnt think it could hurt. Gets fixed tomorrow though :P

I got a R33 4 door. Its IMMACULATE only 100,000kms on the clock. Full history import. Runs like a dream. New everything :P

thats awesome man, good find! how much did it set you back??

i havent driven any :P im the only person in a 40km radius that likes skylines i think haha. (40km below wollongong :P)

anyone i tell im getting a skyline they laugh and call me a wog and say fully sick bro. cant wait to smoke every last one of there heavy shit holdens :D

It was my brother in law. His parents bought him brand new impreza. They own every limo hummer in adelaide. RICH AS CAN BE. So condition was little Petey gets the skyline :D CHEAP PRICE

      Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention

      So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small.       From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
