Thanks Dave,

We were extremely happy to get 1000hp on E85, not sure if that had been done before, but to push it further now we are switching to c16 and more boost. The engine had perfect compression after the power cruise event, so we are happy to step up the power and see how it goes. Obviously the GT4788R is a big turbo, so there should be plenty of room to move from its current power figure. Fingers crossed it performs well at Autosalon. If it does, we will make the trek to Autosalon Sydney with a few more goodies added to it to go even further.

Actually my friend who owns the Rockstar GTR made 1000hp atw on E85 just before Jambo, and that was straight out of the pump

It is running a big set up stroker and all the other good bits you know people wont give out there specs on the engine.

Until you ring the person who built the engine. Fact is, there is no use keeping that stuff a secret. It's all been done before. Only the tune is different. People have been making over 1k for many years, it's just a matter or how many more are coming up

True that - Most people will freely give you thier parts list.

However its all the stuff in assembly and small things that make the difference. And you rarely find those on a spec sheet :P

What is the rev limit on this? Given it doesnt fall off boost between gear changes would suggest at least 10,000? :(

Yeah those Nitto cranks are good for 12k apparently. Well so Nitto tell me

Guys, we just took out runner-up for Highest Overall Horsepower at Gold Coast Auto Salon with NITTO putting out 1071awhp with no nitrous!!!

Currently, we're running an Autronic SM4 ECU + CDI but we're upgrading that side of things at the moment and it's 'only' revving to 9500rpm. There is much more to come out of this car and we're looking forward to the Final Battle in Sydney in a couple of months.

The Rockstar GTR put out 950awhp (not over 1000) on E85 too, we were talking to him at Jambo (nice guy!)

It made 985awhp and that was with a slipping clutch so no dout that it will make over 1000awhp with the new clutch. It runs pump E85 and no NOS and it is going to put more boost into it soon.

Well that's strange because he told us "950" but much of a muchness - but he hasn't made quad figures on E85 yet, like we have. Yes, we do know all about that car we were talking to him for quite a while at Jambo

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
