Will have soon... AM Performance are about to start producing M35 exhausts, dumps and mid pipes, and my car is the test car.

Should have some pics in a week or two, and will hopefully be dyno testing at the end of the month at the SAUSA dyno day.

I'm about to throw my dump pipe right now :verymad:

Lowered the gearbox and all, just can't get to the top bolt nor the one closest to the passenger side. Just no flippin room in there.

Having just re-read some of these posts, there's a couple of tricks I haven't tried yet. So after I calm down I'll go back out & have another go.

There's a bright & shiny new Blitz NUR Spec Touring system to go in, so pretty keen to get these last nuts off.

What price are you charging for your dumps? Would you sell just the flanges?

Mine are stainless, 3.5 inch to 3 inch outlet and very smooth flow. I sell them for $450 heat wrapped and can supply gaskets, stainless bolts, stainless studs with copper nuts and heatsheild for the firewall if you require it. I can sell just the flanges if you like, PM me.

Haha, not the easiest of jobs. Give me a call if you need help, I use 2 long extensions and a universal on the end.

:thanks: Scotty. I have it out now, but that was my problem. I was a bit short one end on the extensions :) . In the end I found a couple of short ones to go with my longer one and it just cleared and I wrestled the nuts off.

After eye fulls of exhaust crap, cut, crushed & bleeding fingers/knuckles, this job as almost taken the shine off DIY'ing, but not quite  . I must say I feel more at home with the electronics.

Haha, bitch of a job but now you have done it, next time will be easier right? You have progressed to the next level mate. :worship:

Haha... next time? I hope there's not a next time. I'm hoping my turbo lasts (cough) for the life of my car so there should be no need to take the dump pipe off again.

Mmm, the next level. Can't wait to get it screwed back together & take it for a spin to feel what the 'next level' feels like.

Are they in Adelaide?

Are they in Adelaide?

Yes they are, based in Golden Grove.

Check out the Adelaide section of the forums for details on the SAUSA dyno day, you can check it all out then if you want.

Cool. I haven't seen that before now.

It looks like all the spots are taken now. I might come check it out, would love to see what sort of increases come from the dump pipe and exhaust.

Pics?

This is an indication of just how small our ceramic turbine is (and wastegate too I guess). Here I still have one stud to be removed before reversing the process to put it all back with new bits. I'll take a few more pics later.

I'll post the sheets up here anyway, but it'd be worth checking it out. Dunc is going to put his up too, so even if you can't get a spot it'll be a good day.

Is there anyone who has replaced the dump pipe concerned that there is nothing supporting the exhaust till the hangers near the rear diff?

The factory system has a bracket bolted to the bell housing that goes across to the bottom of the dump pipe, and that isn't used now.

Could there be too much load placed on the turbo housing or transferred further up the line? Mine seems very strong but not sure about long term resiliance to vibration etc.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
