A grey Ford Anglia, a brown Hillman Hunter, a white Morris Minor and a duck 5hit green Mk1 Escort van which they use to pick up overnight parts from England that have arrived at the airport.

I like to see it set in India... with Paul Walker & Vin Diesel racing with donkeys, Tatas & finally a Camry modded with a T51R turbo like this

f**k the imports & v8s! The movie needs to have some realistic white goods car. :(

rb26/30 combo in a tuk tuk

1 and 3 stand out for me as being more related to the cars and the driving thereof, whereas 2 and 4 have the most disgraceful storylines imaginable only made worse by the hideous cars and ludicrously irrelevant depiction of the scene and the people in it.

Lol

now THAT is a sleeper :D shame about that frontbar though, ruins the whole apeal of the car :bunny:

Let's look at the track-record of Skylines in the films:

The Fast and the Furious

- Leon drove a Skyline, can't remember if it was a 33 or not, although it wasn't featured enough.

- Canary-yellow, 'nuff said.

2-Fast-2-Furious

- Aside from the idiotic vinyls, the silver R34 didn't look too bad apart from the peacock driving it.

- "OMGWTFBRIDGE?!"

- Also marked the day that hollywood introduced thousands of street-racing fanboys to the absurd array of nos-purging nozzles as he rolled the '34 up to the start line. This was then carried over into NFS Underground 2.

Tokyo Drift

- Almost nil. There was the back-end of a 34 for a split second as DK confronted Shaun for the first time.

- Also, there was another brief glimpse of a skyline in the middle of the conga-line drift sequence.

Fast and Furious

- Can I just ask you all something first? In the scene where he picks out the three cars from the impound registry, near as I can tell he picks out two r34's and a r35, rips the white one to shreds and drops the engine into the blue one... So why for the love of all that's holy does he settle for the blue r34? I mean don't get me wrong, I didn't quite understand Nissan's decision to push the Skyline series into the luxury car market and not bother to call the new GT-R's either Skylines or R35's. We've already seen an R34 in a overly-drawn-out racing sequence in 2f2f, so why not go for the newer model and showcase that one?

- In the DVD commentary, Justin Lin states quite clearly that he's not a car guy. So if that's the case, who is to blame for the RPM gauge/screen thing? That thing looks like it's fallen out of Tony Stark's Iron Man helmet or something.

- "Sorry car." Yes, you f#*king heretic, you should be. You're just lucky that Justin Lin made all those picnic tables and benches out of balsa wood.

- "When you blew up your car back there you blew up mine too." "Yeah?" "So now you owe me a ten second car."

God help me, I hated those lines more than any other part of the film. If I had to change any part of the film, I'd have Paul Walker take that hatchback to the garage where he'd tuned the blue R34 and get the R35 GT-R that he clearly did nothing to. Then I'd have him dump the hatchback in the river or something because against Fenix's Torino it was useless.

Didn't mean to rant so much, I just couldn't help myself. I don't hate the films, I'm definetly looking forward to the fifth one, I just hope they put another Skyline in there and not just blow it up for fun 5 minutes into the film.

^^ Tokyo Drift had the Signal R34 GTR at the 1st meetup and the same 1 hammer past the FD RX7 on the highway, which I remember.

The 4th one, atleast the R34 GTR went for a more subtle look, which was better, no graphics / neons / GT Wing like in 2F2F.

2F2F also killed off the silver R34 with that fictional cannon, shooting that great big limpet EMP hook or whatever it was.

Interesting theory they came up with, that you can overload the electrics of a car and shut down the engine by hitting the DOOR PANEL..

I wonder how many horsepower they have???

Yeah man!

I think that's why they put the R34 GTR back in the 4th one as a bit of 'come back' for the R34 GTR fans.

:O @ DOOR PANEL!

It is just car fiction, these movies don't mean shit in real life.

If I was directing the film, the plot will have to take off from the 4th one, saving Dom from going behind bars.

(As hinted in the last scene of the 4th with Jordana Brewster in her Honda NSX)

So when Dom in rescued, his is considered as a fugitive and on the run from the authorities.

While on the run, there will be plenty of highway car action, crossing boarders, dodging authorities / spike strips / road blocks etc...

Till maybe they hit the coast and aboard a cargo ship / plane along with their cars and head off to a different country... As you assume the whole of USA is on the look out for Dom.

Maybe head back to Japan as there was a cameo of Vin Diesel in Tokyo Drift... Or head to Euro for a change of scenary...

I will try and pick the cars which have not been in the FnF movies or they may have but give them more air time...

The cars of the 5th Fast and the Furious should have:

Actually put the R35 GTR in, instead of picking parts from it and putting it into the R34 GTR

Dodge fans will love this...

New school Charger will be there.

Dom's Old school Charger will have to show up somewhere...

(Kieran mentioned about listing 90's car)

If the location heads to Japan, the cars will be:

R32 GTR Veilside Widebody.

R33 GTR Nismo 400R

HKS R34 GTR

I am sure the R35 GTR will be in Japan...

If the location heads to Europe, I would have:

Ferrari F430

My all time fav, Ferrari F40

The film will consist of many inner city runs all the way to highway top speed runs and a mix of hill climb to down hill touge runs.

Sure a "NOS" scene will have to perform somewhere...

    • They're all horrible. X-Trails have had a nasty sounding 4cyl since forever, no matter what engine family it came from. The CVTs only made that worse. Then the whole Renault thing only made every Nissan that was contaminated by them even worse again. The only fun I've had in a X-Trail was having it blown sideways across a frozen Minnesota highway at 90 mph trying to make it to the airport to get out of the frozen hellhole of Hoth. Nearly died. Was great fun.
    • Alrighty, I'll have to grab a couple pics and type out something soon in another post. I haven't driven a modern X no, this would be the first one really. Yeah the rental boxes are always cheap as chips right? So I'd doubt that anyone was handing out GTs to go and abuse. But I s'pose I could be wrong for sure. New cars these days though? Pretty unimpressed with what I see now; 20 years and all that, like you said. It just kind of worked out to have these two cars now. I'm pretty pleased with that, don't need much else. I'm sure you lads are right about the temps and for sure, you wouldn't have much time to drive 'em down there if you all were like me. I do hate sweating all over the seats though😆
    • Let large companies that are making money off selling kits do the preliminary engineering for you. If they all do -10, then that is all you'll ever need.
    • Hopefully it ends up being something manageable, like a hone, rather than a full bore—it would be a huge relief if it’s not as bad as it looks. Hang in there; these setbacks are annoying, but it sounds like you’re handling it as smartly as possible.
    • At the end of the day, it’s all about understanding the odds and being comfortable with the potential cost, whether it’s horsepower on a build or chips on a roulette table. And I have to say, the Laine example made me laugh—some people really do embrace that carefree, “roll and see” attitude!
