I swear 90% of holden drivers are always in a hurry.

Probably because they're MEGA SLOW.

Also, dude, you have a tow bar right? Obvious what you'd do really:

as he gets out to fight you, swing around in front of his car

engage reverse

mash happy pedal

engage highest droppable gear

drop clutch, create a smokescreen so he can't get your plates

maybe throw a shuriken or something for good measure

ninja escape through smoke cloud

My skyline's kill/death ratio is so far infinite, but I always get thirsty and water bottles are my weapon of choice, so I've had a few less than amazing shots.

WIN!

Especially the part about shurikens and ninja clouds ;)

I don't get bogan hassling me, I think it's got something to do with the beard

I do however, get hassled by wankers in expensive euro cars and it seems every soccer mom or station wagon wants to race the lolvo :D

can some please define a bogan

ive got a couple of tats and a gotee but drive a r33

i just hate stupid drivers no mater what car it is they drive (and they drive all sorts)

hope that dont make me a bogan

if someone is tailgating me i just move out of there way, but if a bottle got thrown at my car

it would be game on right there,

ps. always keep ya wheel brace or jack handle in the car for such occasions

A true bogan/meathead is defined by his(/her?) actions. Short temper, quick to resort to violence, uneducated, lacking in common sense, enjoys boobs, beers and burnouts etc... The bogan stereotype transcendes gender, race and socio-economic status. i.e. a rich asian driving a GTR, can still be a 'bogan/meathead'.

Everyone can picture the bogan's appearance, but I a bogan isn't defined by their physical appearance.

I've got tattos and stubble and I enjoy beer, but I definitely wouldn't classify myself as a bogan... I have longer hair than most, I enjoy electro music and I don't drive a V8 commodore/falcon, my car infact gets labelled as 'gay' almost every time I drive on the streets, and not to fly my own flag, but I'm university educated and I'm not a brick layer. Disclaimer: Not saying there's ANYTHING wrong with a brick layer, just that most carry the attributes listed above and therefore render themselves, bogans.

And I agree that any car can house a dickhead driver, it just seems that commonwhores seem to attract more, on average.

What's the difference between a porcupine and a Holden?

The pricks are on the inside.

but I digress...

Definition of a bogan from the Urban Dictionary:

A fascinating beast. The majority of the species are hideously repugnant and unintelligent, and yet they manage to breed in ever-increasing numbers and populate an area known as the outer west. It is quite common to find five or six offspring in each family group, often with a different father for each new baby.

Their habitat consists of a weatherboard or brick-veneer dwelling and is characterised by an early-model Holden or Ford in the driveway surrounded by a group of males discussing why the carby is stuffed and the results of last night's footy (a primitive gladiator-like spectator sport enjoyed by most bogans).

The female of the species, while smaller in stature, is far more loud and aggressive than the male. While the males tend to be very friendly and congregate with other males, the females spend most of their time in supermarkets and shopping malls, using a shrill high-pitched call to discipline their children and contact other females.

Males and females rarely interact socially except during breeding season, which is otherwise known as Friday night. During this time, females are allowed to enter the male-dominated area known as "the pub" and display their impressive coloured plumage to a prospective mate.

Herein lies an intersting phenomenon. Males will often fight over a particularly attractive female and she will mate with only one male, while some less attractive females have been known to have several partners simultaneously.

Ahhhh. The wonders of nature.

Spewin mate, you xtrail is a really nice ride too! i fckn hate commo drivers, about 99% of them are bogan low lives with ego's as big as a building. ive been tailed by countless commodores high beaming me and just generally being w@nkers. i try avoid engaging with them to save the trouble but i understand that sometimes it all becomes too much and you snap. just carry around a breaker bar around so you can play their game too :P

sucks nuts man, i had a similar experience in my ma61 back in 08, was getting tailgated on stock road (a 1 lane section) the guy was so close i couldnt see his headlights....was doing 60 in a 60 zone.....this was about 1am.....no other cars on the road, guy sticks to my ass.....breaks off into 2 lanes about a kay down the road, he pulls up next to me (to my right) the passenger leans out the window, chucks a beer bottle at the car, hits the hood, bounces onto the windshield then over the roof(covering my car in beer)....turned off at the next set of lights, he was right next to me yelling and shit, just baked it up.....was sooo fooking pissed....after that i carried a baseball bat in the car....then when i lost my license for excessive noise the cops said it could be classified as a weapon, so now.....nothing....just a wheel brace for checking lug nut tension.... :)

Report your incident to a few different cop shops, am sure 1 will do something about it!!! then if they dont, just go nuts @ the coppers about being assaulted and they aint doin shit about it! keep reporting/complaining, dont let them push you around!!

if you happen to spot the car in a carpark.....key it, ALL OVER IT....or get a spray can and f**k it up! cops cant prove it was you...no witnesses!!

Ring the same station every day, Eventually you may bug them enough for them to get it sorted so you stop ringing.

Either that or drive around in a full set of grid iron gear and keep a wheel brace handy. Most people will think you're crazy and leave you alone.

Story goes:

" same speed as the car next to me (so he couldn't get past), about 70km/h, in a 70 zone..."

I won't say you deserved what eventually happened because you didn't.

However as you stated you were using you car as a block (so he couldn't get past). You knew it and so did he. The whole issue got started from there.

Had you eased over and let him go, it would have stopped there for you.

Sorry for your damage, but "you" could have avoided it.

in fairness the na61 was abiding by the rules on single carrigeway

the mouth breathin unit jetpilot sticker bogan cant be responsible for his actions however as he only has limited capacity in the brain area and has used what brain he has for ways to bash his wife when he gets home

exactly right, not your fault but you certainly gave him a reason to be pissed off. i wouldnt damage your car but i'd be pissed off too if you blocked me from undertaking a stupid right lane hog.

lesson to everyone, ragardless of your views on speeding, overtaking etc if someone wants to get past you, let them past, especially if its me when i'm late for work...

I learnt that lesson when I airhorned some junkie bitch that was tailgating me.. I pulled over to let her go past and gave her a earful of airhorns as she got level with my bonnet.. as I pulled back out behind her, she proceded to open her door and hang most of the way out while hurling abuse back at me.. this was in the right hand lane on Guildford Rd in pretty heavy traffic, she nearly had many head-ons and I decided it was safer to drop back a couple of hundred metres and grab the left lane.

Bitch was waiting for me in the turning lane at East Pde, I could see she was watching her mirrors and when I approached down the hill she went to get out.. I went to give her some more airhorn love as I passed but I had melted to the fuse with the previous loving :)

I'm always wary of people like that as we've had a junkie-half-native bitch get out of her car and have a swipe with a box cutter before, ahh Northbridge.. good times :)

+1

its actually to your advantage to let them past cause as they are speeding up ahead they willno doubt attract the attention of police up ahead, clearing the road for you...

As much as It sucks to get pulled over , its always great when you see some idiot fly past only to get busted..

    • Update 3: Hi all It's been a while. Quite a lot of things happened in the meantime, among other things the car is (almost) back together and ready to be started again. Things that I fixed or changed: Full turbo removal, fitting back the OEM turbo oil hardlines. Had to do quite a bit of research and parts shopping to get every last piece that I need and make it work with the GT2860 turbos, but it does work and is not hard to do. Proves that the previous owner(s) just did not want to. While I was there I set the preload for the wastegates to 0,9bar to hopefully make it easier for the tuner to hit the 370hp I need for the legal inspections that will follow later on. Boost can always go up if necessary. Fitted a AN10 line from the catch can to the intake hose to make the catchcan and hopefully the cam covers a slight vacuum to have less restrictive oil returns from the head and not have mud build up as harshly in the lines and catch can. Removed the entire front interior just shy of the dashboard itself to clean up some of the absolutely horrendous wiring, (hopefully) fix the bumpy tacho and put in LED bulbs while I was there. Also put in bulbs where there was none before, like the airbag one. I also used that chance to remove the LED rpm gauge on the steering column, which was also wired in absolute horror show fashion. Moved the 4in1 Prosport gauge from sitting in front of the OEM oil pressure gauge to the center console vents, I used a 3D printed vent piece to hold that gauge there. The HKB steering wheel boss was likely on incorrectly as I sometimes noticed the indicator reset being uneven for left vs. right. In the meantime also installed an airbag delete resistor, as one should. Installed Cube Speed premium short shifter. Feels pretty nice, hope it'll work great too when I actually get to drive. Also put on a fancy Dragon Ball shift knob, cause why not. My buddy was kind enough to weld the rust hole in the back, it was basically rusted through in the lowermost corner of the passenger side trunk area where the wheel arch, trunk panel and rear quarter all meet. Obviously there is still a lot of crustiness in various areas but as long as it's not rusted out I'll just treat and isolate the corrosion and pretend it's not there. Also had to put down a new ground wire for the rear subframe as the original one was BARELY there. Probably a bit controversial depending on who you ask about this... but I ended up just covering the crack in the side of the engine block, the one above the oil feed, with JB Weld. I used a generous amount and roughed up the whole area with a Dremel before, so I hope this will hold the coolant where it should be for the foreseeable future. Did a cam cover gasket job as the half moons were a bit leaky, and there too one could see the people who worked on this car before me were absolute tools. The same half moons were probably used like 3 times without even cleaning the old RTV off. Dremeled out the inside of the flange where the turbine housing mates onto the exhaust manifolds so the diameter matches, as the OEM exhaust manifolds are even narrower than the turbine housings as we all know. Even if this doesn't do much, I had them out anyways, so can't harm. Ideally one would port-match both the turbo and the manifold to the gasket size but I really didn't feel up to disassembling the turbine housings. Wrapped turbo outlet dumps in heat wrap band. Will do the frontpipe again as well as now the oil leak which promted me to tear apart half the engine in the first place is hopefully fixed. Fitted an ATI super damper to get rid of the worn old harmonic balancer. Surely one of the easiest and most worth to do mods. But torquing that ARP bolt to spec was a bitch without being able to lock the flywheel. Did some minor adjustments in the ECU tables to change some things I didn't like, like the launch control that was ALWAYS active. Treated rusty spots and surface corrosion on places I could get to and on many spots under the car, not pretty or ideal but good enough for now. Removed the N1 rear spats and the carbon surrounding for the tailpipe to put them back on with new adhesive as the old one was lifting in many spots, not pretty. Took out the passenger rear lamp housing... what do you know. Amateur work screwed me again here as they were glued in hard and removing it took a lot of force, so I broke one of the housing bolts off. And when removing the adhesive from the chassis the paint came right off too. Thankfully all the damaged area won't be visible later, but whoever did the very limited bodywork on this car needs to have their limbs chopped off piece by piece.   Quite a list if I do say so myself, but a lot of time was spent just discovering new shit that is wrong with the car and finding a solution or parts to fix it. My last problem that I now have the headache of dealing with is that the exhaust studs on the turbo outlets are M10x1.25 threaded, but the previous owner already put on regular M10 nuts so the threads are... weird. I only found this out the hard way. So now I will just try if I can in any way fit the front pipe regardless, if not I'll have to redo the studs with the turbos installed. Lesson learned for the future: Redo ALL studs you put your hands on, especially if they are old and the previous owners were inept maniacs. Thanks for reading if you did, will update when the engine runs again. Hope nothing breaks or leaks and I can do a test drive.
    • No those pads are DBA too  but they have colors too. I look at the and imo the green "street" are the best.
    • I’m not sure what happened I told them about sonic tunes free OTS tune and the next the I know .. I was booted..   To funny
    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
