IMG_4063_resize.jpg

OMG, yummmmm!!! Where's the Chaser badge on the front though, Sidd?

Eric, I still haven't looked at the video I took on Sunday, but I'll give it to you Thursday if you're coming out.

That looks really col Jay! Only just noticed it now. Did you do the graffiti as well? I assume you did judging by your comments?

Owen - Maybe piss turns glow in the dark when its baked into the paint? Who knows.

Have you checked your oil lately? We may have drained the sump...accidently of course!

Or maybe we stuffed your girlfriend into the fuel tank... But that's a bit far-fetched.

She came up to my office this morning so I don't think so :( And uhh, checking oil... no. Only time I check that is when I flush it :)

Blah, I'll figure it out tonight... maybe. Brought my camera to work today with the idea of going and taking some shots in the Uni at lunch; pity it's a shithouse day.

Maybe we flushed it for you? :(

Tip: Use a black light.

Clutch - I think it looks good. Really moody. Maybe you can use a layer mask and brighten the flower up so the yellows pop a bit more?

thats a good idea, i dont know much about photoshop, how do i go about this? and can it be done in lightroom? (i dont have ps installed)

I really should just write a layer mask/adjustment brush tutorial LOL. I've explained this at least 15-20 times haha.

But in summary.

Crank the levels up/curves so the yellows are brighter and poppier.

Down the bottom of the layer palette is a camera look icon. Click this.

Change colour palette to black and white (Shortcut key: D). X changes between primary colour & secondary.

"Paint" in what you want selectively. Or you can press CTRL + I (on PC) or Command I (On mac) and this will invert the mask so it will be your original image still and then you can just paint the flower (Easier for you as you only want to do a little bit of the image not the entire image).

In lightroom:

Go to the develop tab

At the top underneath the histogram, click the brush.

Make sure you choose exposure, paint the flower with the brush. I think its the same in lightroom as PS, to increase brush size is the ] key and the decrease is the [ key.

You can then slide the exposure around once you have found what you want.

You can then paint in extra contrast etc etc...

Hope this helps :(

Yeah, I had some left over paint in the shed so thought i'd have a go. Ran out of white tho as I only had two 1/4 full cans.

But found a few good pieces to light paint, just got to work out how im going to get there as the skyline is playing up. :'(

Which batteries you talking about? Your box of thieved batteries from work or the ones you took out? The ones you took out you put back in that bag with your 6million year old flashes.

I checked all my bags and i don't have any batteries. If you did lose them - Get eneloops!!!! You'll never be changing after them i tell ya! Recyle time will be SO much faster on your 6million year old flashes. If there not, i'll pay for the eneloops thats how good they are.

Jay - Ahhh ok. I got a question for you. Obviously graffiti isn't done in publicly lit streets (Well pieces like yours). Do you go out to these random places by yourself and do you ever sh!t yourself??? Some places look so dodgy!!! I'd be sh!tting myself!!!!!

I'll only buy you some Sidd if your energizer batteries are faster than eneloops

You can buy them at dick smith or online. I think its about $30 for a 4 pack. Buy two packs of them and it'll be the best $60 you ever invested!!!!!

Oh and where was your battery pack for the wedding on the weekend, i forgot to have a look at it.

they look dodgy, but most times i've been there during the day and that makes them feel pretty safe for some weird reason. i consider the tunnels the safest as its not that likely that you'll run into anyone. i guess i dont really think about it much.

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
