PERFORMANCE vehicle enthusiast Tom Painter has backed new laws to crackdown on hoons and says dangerous drivers give law-abiding car lovers a bad name.

Mr Painter organises cruises through car club Hardtuned, which yesterday ran a charity cruise from Adelaide to Victor Harbor to raise money for Can Do for Kids.

"We ask police from (anti-hoon) Task Force Diagonal along on our cruises and if anyone is caught mucking around we ask them not to join us in future," he said.

"It's the people doing the wrong thing who give us a bad name.

"And we want them stopped."

More than 100 cars turned out for yesterday's cruise, where drivers were asked for a $5 donation in exchange for a route map and a ribbon to help police identify those involved.

What do yous reckon? Give it some hits so they know its a popular article so they'll run more of it :D

Nice. Black RX looks neat.

Sure i've seen that kid somewhere before in another article basically with the same message?

Good on em'. If 100 cars turned up for this one, then hopefully it keeps getting bigger. :(

lol Hardtuned AKA NS.com

oh the irony...

Lulz, By inviting the police along to your cruises your essentially acceding to their perception of the issues at hand, which is for f**king girls.

Martin Luther King never rode at the back of no Bus.

Fight the power !

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
