Bad Carlos - what's he doing driving that overpriced Volkswagen?

Nissan boss crashes Porsche into motorbike

Nissan Motor Co. President Carlos Ghosn escaped unharmed after he crashed his Porsche into a motorbike in downtown Tokyo, police said.

The motorbike fell to the ground and the rider and a passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident that happened shortly before 11 a.m., Sunday, on Gaien-Higashi Dori avenue in the capital's Minato-ku.

Ghosn, 49, was making a U-turn and strayed into the opposite lane, where his vehicle hit an oncoming motorbike. (Mainichi Shimbun, Japan, Feb. 9, 2004)

Im sure he has the Maddest R34 GTR, V35, 350Z and aslo any other car he wants. Hmm i think I will drive hmmmmmmmmm.

damn I wish I was rich in only have the commo or the commo to drive. both are blue and hmmm bothe are a holden. VL or the VP. Hmm drive the VP the most as it has more power. AAHHAHAHHAHA

is there any japanese input in the new nissan's?
Yes. I posted up ages ago that Nissan makes the 3 most important decisions on any given problem/project/discussion, and Renault (read: Ghosn) makes the 23 other less important decisions...

Btw, Nissan isn't dead. They're just doing business differently. All you guys are still stuck in the bubble economy years with your expectations of Nissan. I'd just like to add that Nissan aren't the only ones doing major restructuring... and I'm not just talking about car makers either. These kind of changes are happening in all levels of business in Japan, so "the good old days" are just that: old... and never to return.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
