Mmmm. so tempting! I was planning on going to the SnS though...

My issue is that I have slotted brakes that don't have slots anymore! and need new pads...

I was hoping that winton was going to be my last blast with these brakes so I didn't need to spend any more money on this setup before I put on my G4s.

PI is hard on brakes right? or does the flowing corners mean less big stops?

Its fairly hard on brakes, esp into Honda. i think its only right that you set a decent time there before you go and turn your car into a sports sedan, i wanna know how quick you are round there :) Would be a good comparison to compare to when its done too.

Piarc days sell out fairly quickly right?? how late can we enter??

Yeah I might head down for the Sunday.

I wanted to do a Sandown day before the year was out, but time didn't permit, so this might be the only option for some track time before the year is out.

Luke has entered the S14 for the Saturday.

Looking at the entry form. Are we class H? Over 3000cc modified?

Cash on the day coz I don't have a cheque book?

There is nothing about it on their website.

Yep only the sun for me bris...assuming my entry is accepted.

Russ, the classes don't really matter as it is more for the PIARC people doing their championship thing I think. I believe the turbo multiplier puts us in the over 3000 classes.

Cash on the day should be fine....was last time I did a PIARC day.....if you want confirmation email the event sec Teresa at [email protected].

i'll get my car running first. ive pulled all the epa un-friendly parts off of it. if i go, i'll be going with just a exhaust and cooler. which would be good in a way, as i wanna go just to suss out the circuit.

quick question re scrutineering.

they say 2 bonnet secure methods, are they insisting on bonnet pins ? aiming at older cars that don't have a spring catch and a lever'd saftey latch

it ain't obvious! and i'm considering the saturday event.

It means 2 'methods'. The standard latch is only 1 method.

Pins or a belt will work.

    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
    • Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline? For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285518478694?srsltid=AfmBOopKxMuAFpsxZJdB1cam4D5RAj1f9yJyOttPZLAwXVNCOiwlhrIy This is DBA's top one piece equivalent https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364246686631?srsltid=AfmBOorbb0XHQgqTvZLgQPhg70nqJtGvdojKnugum3O2LFSr2h-obp8D
