same thing. its easier to find the escape key than stop. dpending on the browser i guess............

on a side note, has anyone who has a telstra t-hub managed to get a generic 'orange tabbee' firmware onto it? after mine upgraded it cant SSH into it :(

might have to do some tricky DNS redirects and force the firmware upgrade to come from my own machine

You're a bigger geek than me. And that's saying something!

probably lol

i love technology. i live and breathe it :)

Same. That's why I'm lucky to have found the job I have at the moment. I work for a nonprofit who's main program is a technology donations program to other nonprofits. We facilitate the donation programs of Microsoft, Cisco, Symantec and SAP amongst others in Australia, NZ and now Asia.

Hence I'm sitting online all day!

Bahahaha, I'm proud of the fact that I can cut/paste now; (don't know how to load fullsize images on the forum tho)

I can't computer, very disappoint.:/

On a related note; I recenly took a phonecall from my tech savvy (not) mother; "Err, I have a problem; I think I've broken the internet."

Me; "Really? The WHOLE internet?"

Her; "I think so"

Me; "Stop downloading porn!"

Her; "It wasn't me!"

At that point I had to hang up because I could no longer breathe; I was laughing so hard. Many lolz were had in the re-telling to my siblings...

Great story. Reminds me of an episode of that pommy show "The I.T. Crowd" where the geeks give the boss a black box which they say is the internet. Of course it get's broken & panic ensues....

hahah VERY funny episode.

my boss used a clip from that show in a presentation for the entire company.

nah, but to be honest the specs were pretty shit. and youll be lucky if you get any support with them........

but i guess for $99 thats pretty damn cheap

Depends what you were trying to achieve with them - as a portable media player / web browser @ $98 it doesnt really matter that its not a high spec'd machine! I would've picked one up for sure.

thats a good point

telstra were selling samsung galaxy tabs for $300 outright, no plan/contract/unlocked a few months ago.

its an awesome media player with GPS. ohh and comes with angry birds for free lol except that i cracked mine and put gingerbread on it :P

Id love one of the new Galaxy Tab 10.1's.. but definitely want a good deal on one because ultimately it'd be used as a web browser 99% of the time and I already have a netbook for that >_< I'll have to see if they have them duty free in NZ next week!

if you get a branded one, make sure its got the standard ROM on it. the telstra branded version i had was soooooooooo slooooooooow. installing gingerbread made me not want to throw it at someone

Lol where else u gonna get a 16gb dual core 10inch tab for that price? :P

Plus xda devs are working on a hc port on it anyway...

    • Hell, I'm sufficiently wary of the ZSS suspension arms, let alone something like a hub.
    • Got it back home and got started pulling the hub off and diagnose the issue. Axle was stuck after removing the 36mm nut so i used a 3 jaw puller to try and push it out and... eH5FXvJ8.mp4   spend the next few hours trying to remove the axle from the remaining hub as it was very much jammed in there when the spindle sheared off. resulting damage as below R53AIy6 - Imgur.mp4   Looks like the was already a stress fracturing in the spindle as can be seen with the darker cracked section My working theory is maybe when the pinion gear exploded last year the shock put through the hub was the initial crack. Then a few events later it finally let go. Just lucky it happened where it did and not 190km/h on the next sweeper or into the hairpin The bearing/hub assembly went in in 2019 and were non-genuine "ZSS" assemblies and no nails were harmed in the process. #BreakHubsNotNails
    • Thanks mate, couldn't find in VIC, ended up ordering one from NSW, getting rwc to get new plates and registration done.
    • Before all the EFR fan boys come in, have a look at: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/g-series-ii-g30-825-58mm/ It also comes in a T4 1.06 divided housing. I would dare say if you want response & also decent power, this thing would chop.   AND apologies, just re-read your post, you've already bought the turbo... whatever you do, make sure you stick with divided housing and proper twin scroll manifold.
    • People have got to stop doing that. ShatGPT is not a search engine. It is a hallucination factory.   I also would recommend the 1.05. The .83 will "work" for you , in that it will be more responsive, but I think you'll find that it won't be anywhere near as good running it out to 8000rpm as the big housing will be.
