Yeah oh well So Glenn, who's turn is it for next week, hey what about you PhatMirage, I remember you not minding organising something for next week, you still up for it?

(check my palm-top) its Team Gold Coast's turn next week issit it :(

i reckon its best we split the pack up into smaller groups. say we have about 20 cars or so and the leader/organiser picks/nominate 3 other drivers to lead smaller packs of maybe 5-8 cars.

was brainstorming last night at the shed and realised that i should have pick at least 2 other guys to lead as well so that everyone can arrive safely at the destination albeit in different time.

juz an idea.

Yeah thought about that one too, but then it just involved too much effort for me to get up off my lazy ass and ask 4-5 other people, which is why I thought the "buddy" system works good, plus radios, and hey presto, even though we went through about a million sets of lights and still could not hear you on the radio, we still all made it there in one piece!

Organising 4-5 other "leaders" and breaking up the pack is a good idea, if you could be bothered and if you could find 4-5 people to do it. But then you'd have a lot of chatter on the radio on who is at the back of which group turning where and maybe a bit confsing, Just have someone right at the back with a decent radio and who makes sure no one gets left behind, a job I thought I did pretty well with the help of Erin, prolly without her, it would have made my job harder as my plea's for directions and updates on where to turn where and asking everyone to slow up _might_ have gone unoticed :D

Key points:

1. Always keep a skyline in your rearveiw mirror

2. Always have someone appointed last in the queue, with a radio who knows where to go and can call out to someone in the pack who is listening to slow down or ask for directions.

Easy peasy!

Yep... Well done Ska and NismoGirl...

Guess what Ska? You just nominated yourself for last in the pack at every cruise... :)

You clearly can't handle the pressure at the front!!! :devfu:

Yeah I dont mind, I am looking at buying a in car though, want the range, and a guy here at work seems to think he can get a deal on them, so might do a group buy if anyone else is interested.

NismoGirl what type of antennae have you got, I had a look at PhatMirage's and it's pretty cool, dunno if I really want one of those big ass areials hanging off the bonnet, but guess the bigger it is the better the range........but at what cost :D

Yeah I dont mind being last, just as long as someone listens to me when I call out to slow down I am more than happy to follow :D

Bloody hell it's been a crap day, and I am still at friggin work, BAH time to go home and whore from there!! :D

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
