these cars were never meant to stay stock

U got that right! When nissan was developing the r32 they pumped 450kw into it to run it thru its paces hence why these gtr's are overengineered, so yes they were developed to carry A LOT more power!

Nice car man if only it were gun metal :(

Jet metallic silver is a timeless and classic colour, whereas grey is seen on most imports and not favoured.

This looks to be a nice example gtr, good luck :)

When I think R32 GTR I think gunmetal grey... that's why it was my preferred colour when looking for an R32 GTR which I got one in the colour and never looked back at anything else. :D had a few silver ones in Adelaide but didn't even bother looking at it - went interstate for a gunmetal grey!

But hey this is a mint well modified V-Spec II... I can look past the silver

Thanks for the comments, and i wish i could get over 30k for it as i think its worth that, but unless there is someone wanting to pay that much then its not actually worth it =(

oh, and when i think about the 32gtr the image that comes to mind is the Winfield 32.. that iconic red with the white stripes and yellow bars!! but when i think about (what is currently) my gtr it's silver (obv)

Free bump for ya Luke. I have seen this car, heard this car even seen him run for for his life when a rb20 was doing a limiter bash rite infront of the car. This car is well worth over 30k, if you see the car and hear the car in person you will know it's worth every sent. The best looking and sounding 32 I have ever seen or heard. Goodluck with the sale Fishpaste.

people are ******* these days. They dont appreciate how much money goes into a car. and want to buy it for nothing.

Hop e you get a good price.

AND PLEASE DONT SELL IT TO A ****** ***** FOR A BARGAIN.

I got offered 7.5k for my car. i just spent in the last 2months 10k on body and 2k on full engine service and alloy radiator etc etc. ( oh and got offered a swap for a 199X ??? mitsubishi magna :) lol

Good car good build. I would try and hold on to it or sell for the right price only. This is a window period where the R32 is undervalued. The R32 is the only Bathurst Skyline, look at Torana XU1s going for a song a while ago, now highly priced.

Worst comparison. XU1 where not mass produced, they are a dime a dozen.

The only R32s worth decent money at the moment are the N1, nismo models and the AUS delivered ones.

This is nice and theoretically is worth your asking price, but I doubt others will pay that much for it. It is a buyers market atm and I think eventually If you stick to the price you will find the right buyer, just takes time.

who would have thought a purple R33 would be hard to sell...:whistling:

good point...

- aust delivered released 100 units (37 unaccounted for)

- n1 edition released 228 units

- nismo edition released 560 units

- vspec2 edition released 1303 units...surely this would make it more valuable than a standard r32 gtr?

still, this price is a good price for a clean gtr!

Undoubtedly the VSPEC 2 is worth more than a standard GTR, I guess it comes down to personal judgement on how much more.

For me the only GTR I could justify spending big money on is an N1. Some people like the Aus delivered ones although I couldn't justify spending an extra $40,000 purely based on that.

Matter of opinion.

Sorry for whoring the thread.

this is way off topic, however, recently 2 aust delivered gtr's sold on shannons website for 52k & 53k.

30k for a vspec2 is almost half of that, very cheap (i'll keep my mouth closed moving forward :))

    • Given you're running a 2.8 and my 2.5 is not really like for like, I suspect there could be a bit more timing you could give it. What is the kW yield per degree you're putting through it? Here's my E85 map to give you an idea, where it was I could still get another 3~4kW per degree thrown at it.
    • It turns out that Setrab make a fan specifically for the oil cooler which is great and I've installed it with minimal swearing. I removed my 2x 12in push fans from the front of my aircon condenser and wired them into this. My main thermo fans kick on when I use the aircon anyway and would effectively already be working as puller fans through the condensor which is infront of the rad. The push fans (understandably) didn't really do much in the config they were previously in so now they're out. Now we're on to the "Oil fan doesn't really do much either!". Yes I'll duct it next if it does nothing in heavy use which it shouldn't. But hey, the object exists and fits great and is cool. Let me have this. The car is still in the "do my fittings leak oil now? do my wheels actually rub?" phase. I did a spirited drive on them and didn't hear or feel anything. Then I got back home and noticed there were grind marks on the inside of the rims, though I couldn't see where they were touching I got out the grinder and attacked the suspects. Note: I do not know how to use a grinder. Then I realised I had dragged my new rims across my concrete driveway before I did this drive. I didn't think I had damage at that time when I briefly looked...... but remembered this occurred after I did all the angle grinding. The grinding on the wheels in some very specific spots. It's not around the whole rim for example, which lines up with dragging it across concrete more than hitting a suspension component for even 1 full rotation. So everything is currently painted and taped up and I need to test it some more to see if it really IS rubbing, but from inside the car it doesn't feel like it is. In other news I attempted to do a before and after comparison of the heads/cam upgrade thing. Dynos lie, everything is in different measurements. Here is the data from the sandown back straight. Car go faster than before. Vroom vroom.
    • Here's my base ignition. +3 correction to redline when shooting water/meth which is always on. Looking at my old ignition table, I should be able to add 1-2 degree's next time I'm on the dyno.  Let me know your thoughts.
    • Given what I know now - same haha, but this was 12 years ago with second hand 740cc Nismo injectors in my S15 daily, I was too busy hunting elsewhere for the issue to even look at the injectors, running through some cleaner was a happy coincidence haha
    • Not a terrible idea. But if I ever had concerns that my injectors were sufficiently dirty to be causing me a problem, they would be out of the engine and onto the actual injector cleaner/testing bench.
