Update to GB....

Price for 10+ units is still $697 each, but there is also a GB price of $747 each for an order of 5-9 units.

Also, all kits will be shipped out of the HDi Sydney warehouse via TNT and will be on your doorstep (anywhere in Aus) within 3-5 business days.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am currently working on HDi to match the 10+ unit price on 7 units (we fell 3 units short) and once I have a firm commitment from them I will PM everyone with my bank details and amount. Once received, I'll place the order with HDi so, ideally, everyone gets their cooler kit prior to Christmas... Just remember to buy your slimline fan!

Anyone wanting to get in at the last minute (good idea with the really hot months here in a couple of weeks), feel free to send me a Personal Conversation/post in this thread.

get the one without,

just cut the wires to the factory fan and either hardwire the new one, or use some sort of plug so youre able to replace (if you need to) or reverse the wiring because you put it the wrongt way around :P

Thanks for the info Iain :)

PM's sent to all participating in the GB.

Once I receive payment from all in the GB, I'll place the order (hopefully in a couple of days so everyone gets their kit before Christmas).

Cheers guys.

Group buy has now closed guys, but we did manage 8 orders all paid up :)

Just waiting on the tracking numbers from HDi but I believe that 6 kits were send out on Friday while we waited for slow-arse banks to process the last 2 payments.

Thanks to you all for the great response (10 orders in 4 weeks is pretty ambitious methinks).

Ps. for those who didn't make it in, I will probably look at another HDi Group Buy towards mid 2011

yes i am lol

but it took me a little while because the fan doesnt always switch on!

Mine has only ever turned on once. n before i got to it to see which way it was spinning it turned off . hopefully this means its spinning the right way.

hasnt turned on since. good thing about the coolers is they still give plenty of good air flow to the radiator, unlike some others.

good buy! goodbye!

The fan you are replacing is for the Air Con and you will know on a hot day if you have it wrong.

I got mine wrong when I did mine and and the missus was not happy when it got warmer the next day and the Air Con was almost warm... :(

A couple of wires switched around and all was good.

You may be surprised how often it does actually turn on.

    • Spotted in Adelaide last week.... mine! New to me two weeks ago.. love it!
    • Congrats on the career change!  I did something similar at the start of the year too, left IT / corporate after nearly 2 decades. Soooo when's the motor coming out for the spark plug change?
    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
