oh what to do in the stormy QLD state...

Recommended Posts

;)

as the topic suggests what is there to do when visiting the so called "sunny state". :)

theres a little munkey up there at the moment from the vic club whos a little lost and in need of some entertaining type vocations :D

Amusment Parks, Dreamworld, Wet & Wild, dont bother with seaworld unless you like looking at animals and movieworld sucks as well, only has like 3 rides worth going on.

Depends what he what he likes doing........ there is A brothel....... :)

Then again he could go drifting on a track, enjoy hassle free driving from the police, and not be defected every 5 minutes. There is also drag combat tomorrow down at QLD motorway, but looks like its gonna be bit too hot for the turbo guys.

... oh there is a good go-kart track up Sunshine Coast way.. thats cool.

and oh yeah, forgot: can he go get me some fish & chips for lunch, i'm kind of getting hungry here :) I'll pay him a couple of peanuts for delivering to west end.

Dreamworld is good for the rides

Wet and wild is full of youngings peeing everywhere

Seaworld and Movieworld arent worth the money

Clubs in the Valley are ok,

Moonbar, Empire, Sunbar, Source etc are all worth going to

The Arena has all the big events IE DMC world championships (went to last one it was maaad) And the BIG raves are all at the Arena

System6's and Adventjahs are awesome

If youve never been to a rave, or have been to one and want to goto a REAL one.

Then Critical Mass is coming up on the 28th of this month, With DJ Hixxy and Scott Brown

ive seen scott brown at a system6 earlier in the year, hes off tha planet!

been waiting to see Hixxy for a long time, those in the know with hardcore/trance and happy hardcore techno will know him well from the bonkers series

yes as was stated, i'm in balmy QLD right now. I'm stayin in brissy till tuesday.

Dunno where but my phone keeps saying Sunnybank and Kuraby.

Went down Pacific Hwy yesterday to Koolangata. Came back in the morning today, saw two liners on the way back heading towards gold coast one black R34 following very close behind a black R33.

Dunno what were doin tonight, apparently were gonna go to a club called Fridays in the city. At around 7ish we're gonna go gokarting sumwhere nearby.

Would be nice to meet up with some of you guys, but seeing I dont have my car here it'll be pretty wierd.

Anyways, see you guys around, and can sumone turn the A/C on? pwoar so humid....

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
