nah it was better than ever this weekend.

Last corner I missed the tyres by about 3cm.

I think I fell off because there was oil coming out of my catch can onto the tyre, emptied the catch can when I got home and there was about 50ml of oil in there... Fkn more oil came out than stayed in!

I concur... It was a left hand corner, your catch can is on the right hand side (from the drivers seat), with the breather ingeniously placed on the right hand SIDE of the catch can, makes sense that if it had a bit of oil in it, it could slosh out the breather and straight down in front of the front right hand (and outside, taking the most weight) wheel :/.

Catch can is coming out and being sent away for some modification by someone who actually knows how catch cans work.

oh, don't watch the video in the embed on this page, the sound is like 50 times better when you watch it in youtube.

Is it just me, but when I'm doing zig-zags on the back straight here

Does the car just not want to turn left?

Time attack really opened my eyes to the comprises I make not only in my car setup, but also my life style. If I want to be better I need to practice and develop the car more, and that costs money. You're all my witness when I say, no more beer unless its a super special occasion and no more junk food, no more spending $15 on a take out meal when the supermarket is closer and cheaper. Postie bike development halted, no more motocross... Gotta start doing it right!

For those who are interested and don't follow me on facebook I'll give you a little update to my pledge.

I've stopped buying & Drinking Beer, fkn hardest thing I've ever had to do. But I've saved a tonne of cash and I'm feeling heaps better.

motocross is dead :( Makes me sad but doing skids is more important right now.

My starting weight was 125kilos and now I'm down to 90 kilos. So making pretty good progress there, only down side is my Sparco evo 3 doesn't fit me anymore and a slop around in it all the time and I'm even further away from the seat because my back fat was propping me up! hahaha.

So yeah, that's all going well :) I'd like to say it's helped with driving but I can't be sure. I know I'm better than I've ever been now but why? We'll never know...

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
