Terry, thanks! I think that's a real great compliment!

Nice Bayside Blue R34 you have there! Closest i ever seen was my 1/18 scaled model that I had that I sold off before flying to Perth.

NA_Goodness, I'm using my 17 - 50mm Tamron and 50mm f1.8 canon for most photos, with a 28-105mm in my bag , hardly use it to be honest.

Sticking to my 50D till I can afford a 5D Mk2

How do you find the Tamron lens? I love my Canon 50mm 1.8, and have a Canon 17-85 and 70-200mm f4 L as well.

It's pretty decent. Most of my photos' taken with it so you'll be the judge.

It wouldn't be as clear as a L lens, i was considering this or the Canon 17-40 L lens.

How much does a 70 - 200mm F4 L cost in Perth?

A 2nd hand piece costs around AU$620 in Singapore

Hi mates

Looking for a Bayside Blue or White R34 GTR to shoot. If anyone knows of an NSX , i would be real happy as it's the one of the last Hondas I've been looking to document through my camera (and a Prelude...)

Feel free to PM me to discuss.

I know someone with an old NSX but not the facelifted last model, and you can shoot my R34 if you want :)

Hi Stephen, I've received your PM , I'll send you my number shortly :)

A TVR? There are TVRs here? Bullet holes inclusive?

really nice pics pf two gens.you know there's potential calender material here.....

calender for next year would be good. SAUWA cars 2012.

Sounds good! If it materialises, I don't mind contributing (including Mickey's when the time comes). Just save a copy for me :pirate:

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
