I know this was discussed in the Wasteland for a bit, but deserves its own thread to mange who's going meet ups ect

I will be there with the Vodka O team in the Australian GT Series all 4 days, (so make sure you support our Lambo and Porsche out on track!

we have 25 confirmed entries (no pink GTR this year), and an Hour Twilight race on the Friday which means glowing brakes and exhaust flames

Guess some other will be there to watch the taxi's trundle around the track a bit.

A popular time for SAU meet ups has always been at the "fashion" shows running saturday and sunday behind the grand stand

checked the long range weather forecast......not lookin good

warm but rain every day

Frid = 35 Rain

Sat = 28 Rain

Sun = 27 Showers clearing

Aside from the sucky humidity, the rain should make for a more interesting race, no? :)

-D

That weather forecast is bloody PERFECT Sled .... nice and warm (but not inanely hot like many years), and a bit of moisture makes for VERY interesting races and some awesome stacks!

I'll be there working hard on the Saturday and Sunday

apparently some clown will be dressing up in uniform and trying to sell the Army Reserves to people

:rofl:

easy money, and can wander around during the day too :D

Will be in Rundle Mall with the GT cars from 9.30 Wednesday

Hi Guys,

I will be coming over thursday morning for the weekend.

I work with globecam/V8 SC TV doing the incar cameras for all the classes.

It looks like its going to be a busy weekend with about 20 cars to rig plus the V8's.

Hopefully the weather plays nice too.

Cheers

Luke

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
