Sweet, driving there in the 34?

Yes Mike,

Getting Nismo skirts and pods fitted; and even front splitter painted all to Bayside Blue body colour > picking it up on April 30.

I have the option of putting Titanium RE30s on it or keep the Gold/blue ADVAN RGs on.

Lovely Pearl Black R34 GT-R will be making its appearance too.

This time with Bronze LMGT4s.

May 1st forecast has changed from cloudy to possible showers atm.

Happy B'day Kristian. Pity we can't see the N1!

Awesome

I'll be sure to look out for ya,

Damn I just realized I maynot have my car as it's getting the front bar resprayed cause some old bitch scraped or trying to park her car, I'm going to try and postpone it till next week

Hi guys,

We got a call this morning from Auburn City Council advising us that due to the recent heavy rains, Silverwater Park was closed to all sport activities this week, and wouldn't be suitable for cars to drive on this Sunday. They don't want their grounds getting wrecked so we have to accept their assessment of the situation. (We don't want cars getting bogged on there either, especially if it meant we had to pay for repairs to the reserve).

The plan at this stage is postpone the event - we're looking at either holding off till spring, or doing it in a few weeks' time (which will put us fairly close to winter). Like you guys, this has caused enormous inconvenience (and cost!) for us, so please be patient with us while we sort out a new date.

We'll let you know as soon as we have more information.

Cheers

So this means Kristian will be coming up after all (with his N1), unless he has another birthday this year! :P

Damn there goes my Sunday

Same.

But if it's held in Spring it'll hopefully be a bit warmer; the weather will probably be just as unpredictable in Spring, but we should be heading for a drier summer next year as opposed to the tropical one we had this year.

Yeah other plus points will be Kristian's N1 and even more time for people to join up. How can there be more quality JDM cars in Adelaide than Sydney?? :)

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
