I guess that's the hard thing about organising a GB...you get all these people saying "yeah I want it" but when its time to pony up hardly anyone responds...

I'm looking at doing a Goodridge braided brake lines GB pending results from KV1...but think I can't be bothered dealing with the drama...

Also sucks that it makes you look lame in front of Whiteline as you've done a great deal in pushing them to get a product made for our car and now we can't even get 10 people to buy it!

Very true mate. It's been great dealing with the people who are genuinely interested; they are the ones who've made it worthwhile  .

It was much the same last time, but I just hoped my enthusiasm for a great deal would be infectious. I hate to see people miss out on a great opportunity, that's why I made the effort.

I don't feel lame in front of Whiteline; they've been hugely helpful :worship:. I think if anyone understands this kind of thing, they certainly do.

I'm confident the people who've gotten involved, will be hugely satisfied when they recieve the finished product, and that's great.

Cheers Dale.

well im keen as man i will take your mounts and the links throught this round of GB when i get mony on the 15th itl be in your acc on the 16th

yet i will go onto the next one for the bars as shipping is expensive and need to get cash together for that ontop of the GB

I might be reading it wrong...but I think Daleo said if this round isn't filled then there is no next round?

No worries Dust, looking forward to it. As we discussed, I can't ship the bars to you for what I consider to be a fair price, but the other parts are not an issue.

Well, never say never, but originally we had 14 interested parties; which is why it went ahead. But yeah; at this stage; it'll be a while before I organise another, if at all.

I will be transferring the money for you tonight Dale.

Cheers.

Thanks Chris

You know I'm not referring to you in my recent updates right? You clearly explained your timeframe, and it was not a problem.

Cheers, Dale.

You'll be getting my money shortly. I've been waiting for a pay rise that comes through Wednesday. I'll be grabbing one of everything as discussed. Money will be transferred Thursday morning just scraping in!

What's delivery time expected to be like?

Fantastic; that's great news, looking forward to your payment!

It should be roughly 2 weeks after the closure of the group buy, as the bars are not due in the country until a week after the Group Buy closes.

Once I have them, I'll be despatching everything ASAP. I'll be in contact with everyone as soon as I have firm delivery dates.

Money incoming in the next days.

Great stuff mate, thanks for your support!

Sounds like we might be getting close to that magical number!

Sure does, definitely makes it worthwhile.

Cheers Guys.

Thanks Chris

Yeah I know.

Just thought I better transfer it now - busy couple of weeks ahead.

I think tomorrow is the last day, are we full yet? Got my order in!

PM replied  .

I'm waiting on one last payment and we're there!

Thanks for your support guys, bring on the awesome handling!

Hmmm can't wait...

Bad news on that one, roughly two weeks wait.:nyaanyaa: The time will fly... NOT!

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
