Dunno if im barging in on anything, but i've had a 32 gtst for a few months now... Keen to cruise with the locals as im in Rothwell....

On a brighter note, I was in Peninsula paint today n "saved" some poor sod who thought he blew his turbo on a twin turbo supra.... Turns out he should check his intercooler piping more often.. Fished out the slipped hose clamp and with a trusty 10mm I never go anywhere without, saved him a trip to the workshop. Wish all my mechanical problems were that cheap or easy :)

Im Troy by the way. If anyone filled up at the caltex on deception bay road just up from the rothwell roundabout, chances are we've already met

Hey Troy. Welcome. My missus just works behind you at the child care centre and owns a marine blue 33 4 door. I have a white 32 4 door. I know the owner of the servo for years and years. Top bloke. One night boys I will organise a meet, just been very sick lately and haven't had much time of a night to hang around. Hang in there as it will happen I promise.

spotted Brad in the 32 4 door heading up Buchananans Rd. just now. nice clean looking car

finally got the new engine in the little ladies Beetle. once its run in and tweaked properly I'll have the liner back in my hands more permanently.

Wednesday at the BP's sounds good this week. but i think we should give somewhere around northlakes a go maybe?? should be parking and some eats there somewhere. gonna look into a good spot some time soon...when i get a moment to think in between doing stuff.

clean is the under statement of the century... :D

its (ummmmm cant find the words) super duper clean...

Ultra shiny?

I have badly damaged my back so someone is going to have to drive me on wendsday night. (I can barely limp atm)

for sure.

ive done many a large amount of Body work in my time, but the older brother is normally the one swinging the spray gun when we paint cars......but hes in Wagga atm doing his military thing...soo chances are that wont happen for a while anyways.

What were you in???? I have morning face on and everything is a blur. Some mornings I don't know how I got to work lol. So if you had waved I apologise man. I have seen a black 32 coupe along the same road every morning. Very clean as well.

LOL Col. I'm a clean freak YES. Bit pissed off with the rain this week. Made the car look rather shitty. Spent close to 3 hours cleaning it this morning.

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
