if the ECU is reset on CAR A,

will there be any engine performanc or fuel performnce difference compared to

a sedate driver ( Car B)

and

an aggresive driver( Car C);

when all 3 cars are then driven in an identical way.

Diferent forums comment about the ECU learning but others indicate the ECU is fixed at the factory and doesnt learn.I did ask somethinmg similar ,prior, but just need further clarification.

New ECU's (current type cars) can learn, e.g if you are an agrasive driver holds the revs longer.

I have felt this in a 03 car were i was agresive in driving and my dad wasnt and i did notice a diffrence in how it drove when we swaped cars. But i think the performance /fuel diffrence is small and realy comes down to how u drive.

The ecu trims fuel dependant on the o2 sensor's feedback voltage while cruising. Different ecu's learn or adjust different cells on the map.

Our M35 Stagea ecu's learn to a much higher load point than the older RB ones apparently. Too bloody smart, especially as it controls the throttle as well.
