Might just ring the machinist I used to work with and see if he will knock something up, not hard I just don't have the tools to do it :(

26 covers would work but it's $_$ I don't want to spend right now and it would means pulling the cam gears off to get the RB20 backing plate off which I really cbf doing :P

Some of the machines are bigger than my shed, bbbuuuuuuuutttttttt after the hoist comes a lathe. Have been looking out for one, gota pay a visit to Hare and Forbes and Ron Mack i think. Some of the companies down here still don't give a f**k to making special parts so i'll do it "in shed-house" :nyaanyaa:

Ahh the R32 All Engines manual :P

I've got a 32 GTR workshop manual too which helps with a lot of the body/chassis/electrical stuff, it's GTR specific but GTSt is close enough in most aspects.

has it got wiring diagrams?

needa find the positive and negative for the fuel pump and cbf pulling out

Bloody bigassed radiator makes the shroud not quite fit the fan :/

I fit a 52mm radiator into mine. Had to buy the thinnest thermofans on the market. Flex-a-lite

Powersteering line got in the way, had to make custom line and bend it off to the left.

I've had a 50mm radiator in there before but the tanks weren't this big, I'm going to move it on and go something more stock sized. I have two thermo fans on the front of the radiator but most definitely want to retain the engine fan and shroud.

yeah the cheapest option.

Tried to say some coin by buying a cheap radiator but got dudded for not fitting. Spent $500~ on thermofans and controller to make it all work haha

However, whilst crusing & spirited driving, water temps stay on 78degrees.

When come to a stop, thermofans programmed to start 1 fan at 50% when 82degrees. Doesnt move unless im stuck in traffic for ages. Might crawl up to 85degrees~. When reaches 89degrees, both fans turn on at 100% to bring it back down to 80degrees.

Nice setup, what controller are you using?

with the 30det i have 52mm rad with the standard clutch fan plenty of room ovaboost were meant to use the twin thermo's i gave them but i guess they cbf and as most ppl will tell u the clutch fan is better than thermo's

Edited by Char

Mick would have done it for a reason. I had thermos in my 32 and we pulled them out when Mick was dynoing it, the clutch fan was way for efficient and cooled better than the thermos for some reason

That's why I want to keep the engine fan, the thermos on the front are just added insurance.

Char, pics please. This 52mm radiator I have would be fine if it didn't have tanks the size of Texas FFS! The tanks actually make it more like 70-75mm and it's way too close to the fan for my liking.

Anyone wanna buy it? probably fit in an S13 very nicely or a 32 without an engine fan :P

    • That still isn't a lot to go on. I don't have a Y50 Fuga Head Unit wiring diagram. I can say that a lot of nissans of that age shared head unit plugs, so if you are in Australia something like this would probably help: https://aerpro.com/app091# You plug that into the car loom, then either plug the head unit ISO into that (if it has ISO), or you buy and ISO adapter harness that you wire in. Bit of stuffing around, but once you have ISO its easy to change things in future.
    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
