Hi

look at car before you buy,

like Man con :whistling: Why spend $$$ just shift kit box & drive

waste money you will never get back,

thats why Jason started getting rid of bits he brought ,waste of time & money ,

thanks chuckie... heres the actual page i got that link from - http://www.justjap.com/store/home.php?cat=270&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=8, any chance you could point out which one exactly would fit my ride?-im not exactly sure as to what i should be looking for on my car to discern a "fork" or "eye" type setup...or am i just a moron coz its usually THAT obvious?-cheers mate.

not sure what you have in S1`s

so you need to talk to lads with S1s ,

Cheers

Look under the back of your car at the rear hubs, you should be able to easily see where the shocks bolt to the hub and discern whether it is an eye or a fork.

thanks mate-took a pic of the rear right just in case to confirm...lucky i did too coz i only just noticed my front right CV boot is cracked-gutted-probably change it when i go to replace the suspension.

I do believe that looks like an eye ;)

Craig how`s the 2 wheel drive going :whistling: ,

nice to get you out & start to see some of Perth Hills  .

Bubba any news on BOX  .

called past steve`s no answer pinch.gif .

There's none in Perth :( Best Steve can do for me is a RWD s2 auto or 34GTT auto after Easter, and then I'll have to try swap the guts into my casing >_<

Yeah car's still in 2wd mode - will plug it back in soon. Spark plugs are still giving me grief, and it's time for a decent cat because it's feeling really restrictive. Cheers for the blast through the hills Sat night - sorry to hear your g/box is shagged Bubba :( - it was put under a little bit of stress.

lol I think little is an understatement :(

It seems like the tranny oil pump at this stage but I'm not holding my breathe for the internals to have survived very well..

Thanks to chuckie for towing me home as I still couldn't get any gears :/

Had a blast nonetheless! :D

But.. I think the quicker and cheaper ride is going to be dropping the engine back in the 32  will worry about it all after easter!

    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
