I contacted JustJap and got a price of $220 for a brand new cowling plastic with the rubber strip attached, you cant actually get the rubber strip by itself...

I asked if there would be any discount if we could place a bulk order and they said they would see what they could work out depending on numbers.

Of course Im still tempted to see PSI parts would want to make these in CF, I have a local rubber supplier searching for a similar or the same profile rubber strip to replace the OEM nissan one,

I should hear back in the next couple of days about the rubber strip material or similar being able to be sourced...

Anyone interested in a new cowling, a CF version or new rubber strip?

group buy on one of these options?

are you talking about the rubber strip that runs across the bottom of the windscreen? if so, i'm interested to know how much a replacement is.

edit: someone told me once that clarks rubber sell a similar profile strip. i went to one of their stores. they were pretty dumb. i never got the rubber :/

yep thats the one, Ive got a rubber supplier searching for it for me... see what he finds, then I'll just paint the plastic...

but Im also keen to collect more CF so getting some made up would be completely awesome, and PSI parts carbon work on the foglight surrounds was excellent...

PSI is also keen to make up some CF front fenders depending on numbers....

so are people keen for a whole new cowling or just the rubber strip to be replaced, you do realise the rubber strip will need to be glued on somehow, thats how it was from factory

Im not sure what the profile or size of the r34 one is but it would be great if they are the same...

Im hoping I get a phoen call saying he has found a match for me then we can buy a roll of it...

    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.

    • There was a great one on Victoria Rd in Gladesville too back in the day. I can only assume GTSBoy is thinking of the mill up on the wollondilly, no restaurant there any more but they have restored the original steam engine on site and run it every few months, have an annual steampunk festival etc @The Bogan, you came to the wrong town for restaurants. we have a few reasonable asian and indian options but the Paragon is as good as it gets otherwise. That brewery is apparently just opened, been meaning to give it a go some time. The Highlands have plenty of fancy options but I suspect you are more a hearty eater than fancy eater
