Nice info about the ethanol sensor vipec combo disco. I would hope an any ethanol content Skyline could be engineered, ala Holden SAAB.How about fabbing a larger fuel tank, as per RT Charger, XW GT, mad max etc.

Now, I am still running the pistons that came with the car. From factory. Im making just shy of 600rwhp on 29 pound. My car had probably done 12,000 k in the last 18 months.

And for you playing at home, I have 1200cc Injectors and they are maxed at these power levels and mixtures.

What ECU are you doing all this on?

Actually I'm a twit , or similar sounding thing . What you could do is buy Caltex EFlex and test its Ethanol content and add the appropriate amount of say Ultimate 98 to make a consistant blend of something less than 70% ethanol . To end up with E50 shouldn't be to hard .

A .

Must have first coffee before posting ...

There is someone on here doing that that blends their own E42.5

Ive given up offering that suggestion a loooooong time ago

If you read my post, I refer to the tuner who was responsible for tuning the gtr I recently bought.

I.E. Sorry to disappoint you but crd did not tune this gtr...but he more than likely will, even though its a vipec

Don't get me started on dyno tuners, a very well known sau member was recently disappointed with your tuners results (name disclosed as I'm not here to defame others)

Same goes for every shop mate, thats life. Starting a thread about a tuners opinion, then not expecting the subject to come up? Come on, no one can be that silly

Agree to disagree :)

Anyway, if you decided to not run E85 then good for you, others have chosen to run E85 and good for them. Im going back to pump 98 personally not because there's anything wrong with E85, purely due to the range i need to get out of a tank on long drives through twisty roads on Sydney outskirts where even on pump fuel its pushing the economy pretty hard between servo's. Its annoying not being able to drive those roads with this fuel.

I'm sure if I used your tuner I wouldn't get the same service as what you do and vice versa...end of the day stick with who feels right and looks after you :)

Its like marriage haha

Way off topic sorry guys

FYI Marko, to disclose something means to reveal it / make it known.

The joy of typing on blackberry with a mini screen, I left out "not to be"

Stevo - that's the other reason e85 is not for me as I also like to take long drives and will become stranded on e85

You could carry jerry cans of E85 for long trips or utilise a selectable unleaded petrol tune and carry a jerry can of unleaded that will get you to a service station?

Awesome bit of gear available from Just Engine Management.

That is truly awesome. Even if my engine management won't utilise the sensor, I think I'll buy one just to keep an eye on ethanol content so I can adjust it to always be E70. I thought these sensors would be intank, but here we have an external mount with a simple hose in / hose out connection you could mount anywhere along the fuel lines. Then an easy plug straight to the LED display. Win. Do you think it would be best to tap into fuel return or fuel supply? Or would not matter too much?

Marko, I hate to be picky, but I will... you also did the same thing in your opening post. :D. Must be an inherent anomaly with the Blackberry. I'd get it checked. :nyaanyaa:

PS, withheld would be a better word :D

PSS, I am keen to try E85 when I finally get my car finished.

few guys over here in WA doing it, thanks to ethanol being illegal at the pump here and no fuel companies showing any interest in shipping it here. we have to buy drums of csr stuff, which is over $2/L so using half that and half 98 makes it a little more affordable

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
