As the topic says, some c*nt just stole my red GT badges. It either happened today at uni at monash in "castle greyskull" between 10am and 2pm, or outside centrelink in mornington (damn dole bludgin f**kers, i was only in there for 20mins).

So it would be great if someone gets offered some badges for cheap, that look like they have been ripped off, if you could pm me.

Or better still, break their legs then shove a shopping trolley up their ar5e!

Ok, calming down now.

Where can i get another set from for an ok price? Or is it not worth putting them back on, coz they will probably get stolen again. I think ill budget for replacing them every 12 months.

Rant over,

Rhett

THanks guys, i think ill go no badges for a while- just have to get the sticky stuff off now.

Fooey - yeah i remember you from the GOR cruise

Blade- nah its not my car, i probably should change the photo now that ive actually got an R32. I came close to buying this one too when it was on the prestige mailing list, but wasnt quite ready to buy. It had everything i wanted but if only it came up a few months later. But im really happy with the car i have now anyway.

Thanks guys for ur replies, have decided to go badgeless for a while.

But thanks to inark and blade, you guys are very generous. Thanks for your offers.

lukasikrob - ur right, there are many people on this forum who go above and beyond what should be expected of them. Inark and blade both stepped up to help me out, no questions asked, when they both could have pocketed $30 or more each easily and i still would have thought i was getting a decent price.

Thanks again

Rhett

For Sale: Cheap second hand GT badge...........just kidding:P

Bad luck man, i hate having badges stolen, it is just a waste of money to replace knowing it could be stolen again.... anyway, what the hell are they gonna do with a gt badge??? hope they didn't scratch the paintwork.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
