Nope

Theres a Morris Mini 1100 Deluxe on the horizon though. Found out i dont have to go through any sort of Regency inspection either (its been outta rego since 96). Gotta do a few things to it, so might take a few weeks of work to get it up and going, but be stoked. Getting some laughs at the stuff i can buy :)

why dont you just finish the gtr? haha!

thats in the pipeline too. starting to get hold of stuff. be good to have a cheap fun car too :P

(one that i can fix by the side of the road cos theres literally only about 3 things in the whole electrical system LOL)

^^^ lol $15k? Does it come with an R32GTR thrown in? You will notice there are no pictures inside the engine bay - I can only imagine what it looks like. Seriously, you could buy a stock wagon for $1k, spend $2k doing the paint and bits yourself and you have the same car .... what a joke

This should really have its own thread but as long as everyone sees this it won't make much difference.

This is a must see on the TRUTHS of Carbon Tax.

Notice how we have changed our language in the past year or 2 from "Global Warming" to "Climate Change".....because the former was a lie and there is now evidence by an independent group of international scientists that have given evidence that the earth has in fact cooled in the last century.

The Carbon Tax scheme is nothing more that a Wealth Tax to feed Global Banks and will see the same trouble in Europe's economy filter out to Aust......yet we as a whole country have the lowest carbon emissions on the planet.....go figure?!!

Truth about Carbon Tax

Rise Up Australia party has this policy very much in the forefront of their policies same with Multiculturalism

Carbon Tax - http://riseupaustraliaparty.com/?p=187

Multiculturalism - http://riseupaustraliaparty.com/?p=65

no-one will be better off with the carbon tax.

Utility rates will rise again (gas/electricity/water), as will your general goods we all buy day-in day-out.

Its a SHAM and nothing less. An absolute disgraceful government to push this Carbon tax to go-ahead without the say of the people they govern for.

If it went to the polls it'd be squashed flat.

At least with the GST people power had a say in the matter.

You haven't even heard the start of it yet Jenna - if the website says you will be $600 worse off, you can easily quadruple that or more methinks .... once the tax filters down at reach level of production, transport, wholesale and sale the prices of everything will increase significantly. Then as inflation rapidly rises the RBA needs to increase interest rates so rent/mortgages go up (they are linked), etc etc.

Plus, as the video points out, $23 is the STARTING price of carbon - it will rapidly increase without cap.

you going to put in a 1275 or go all the way and go 1380 with twin 1 1/2 su's or doce 45 weber??

i had the 1380 in my old min and snapped the crank:)

as this is goin to be my daily / fun car (got the full focus on the GTR for fast duties), it'll probably go 1275 eventually. dad and i are goin halves in it, and we've both agreed (as much as replicas shit us no end) that we'll probably build a cooper s replica with disc brakes all round, coilovers, and a really hot 1275. probably have a big single weber on it, as no doubt twin su's will be a bitch to tune.

its gonna be one step at a time, get the stuff on the "needs" list all done (brake system will need all the bits replaced after sitting for so long), then do the "wants" list

or are you going to buy a man's car instead?

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
