I would be keen for this to drive down for the weekend

I am sure we could get some more from this side of the border

(any free accommodation available??...hmmm last weekend of school holidays in Qld as well)

Can put you up in the SAU.NSW Clubhouse for free (if nothing else is on).

Dates in conflict?

I don't think so.

Stagea 15th Anniv = 2nd Oct

Bathurst Race = 9th Oct

SAU.NATS = 28-30th Oct

I'm up for it Terry since I drive a stag now

i'll keep an eye in sau forums more now to see a thread of this anniv.

What about we do a proper lunch? I can ask my best friend to open his restaurant for us at bargo if you all keen.

Meet up at homebush or tsi then cruise to bargo presentation at restaurant?

Oh heck yes! Keen As.

The National park will charge entry per car to get in to West head, other options north could include Palm beach (northern beaches), or up the Old Pac Hwy to Patonga or something. Just some ideas.

Well we have our 1st Sponsor = Top Secret Imports

Many thanks to Garry and Jack!!!

So far,...

Meetup = Forge St Blacktown (outside Top Secret)

Destination = Cordeaux Dam (off Picton Rd)

How does this sound, men? (no girls yet?)

Keep in contact with Nick or myself for developments > we'll accept the offers of help that are already posted above too. :action-smiley-069:

Sounds like a winner to me Terry :worship: Thanks to Top Secret Imports too!

OK, 2 mins ago, we've got confirmation that this will be an official SAU Event...

which means we have CAMS insurance attached.

I've PM'd Darrin in Qld with regard to free accommodation for Queenslanders and secured parking at the SAU.NSW clubhouse within the JapLink grounds on the nights of Oct 1st and 2nd.

If this is taken up, I'll need to see how the security alarms can be sectioned off. :whistling:

October 2 is NRL grand final day

if the Dragons make the GF, i'll be at Homebush watching them win again ;)

so any planned routes around Homebush should probably be reconsidered if around kick off (5pm i think)

What is this NRL grand final you speak of?

:P

Hmm, we're yet to go into details, but I doubt we'll be near Homebush at any point in time.

  • 2 weeks later...

Count me in for this.

ACT Stagea owners, we could all meet up & cruise into the meet point for this?

Keen!

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
