Hi all,

I am for the s.e suburbs of melbourne, were atm every second car is a police car and if its not its undercover..

I was at my local gym the other day in the narre warren area training away when i hear a cop siren in the car park..??

Sure enough i walk to the frount door to find a s14 pulled over by an undercover ss out the front..

Apparently they heard the car cumming up the hill to the gym and by the note of the exhaust they said they could tell that he was speeding, (without a radar) ..

because they couldnt prove this, they ended up giving the guy a majour canary on the car for the exhaust hanging to low, somthing hanging from the rear veiw mirror, and a loose spaeaker in the car..

Needless to say, the very nxt day i purcased 2 new tyres for my r33 and replaced my hks 3.3/4 inch exhaust system with the stock one !! (still leaving the 3inch dump pipe) lol..

On that note:

The car dosnt seem to hav lost any power at all..??

and ..If u live in the area they are EVERYWERE ATM!!

Call me crazy but..

as a car that u drive everyday it really dosnt seem worth it these days to modify ur car at all...!

just remember the nail that sticks out gets hammered ;)

keep your mods sedate ,keep the car quiet and drive with the traffic not ahead of it and you shouldnt have too much stress. I've been pulled over a few times and have not had a problem with my car but unfortunately others think its great to have loud lary cars and drag race princes hwy on friday nights.

/\ This guy. He speaks the truth.

Hmm, I noticed this to (specifically, in the S.E burbs (Dandenong, Noble Park, Berwick). With the new hoon laws, I'm actually genuinely thinking about selling up and buying something more sedate, something I can drive on a Friday or Saturday night without feeling overly paranoid...

Victora the place to be... defected

:whistling:

EDIT: When I 1st saw the title I was thinking of bogans in their Commodores with Chevy badges... LOL

Every 2nd commo I see has a chevy badge on the back.

Amen. It's like a disease... but everyone wants it.

its happening in my area in NSW too

In the space of 3 days 3 of my mates got defected. 1 yellow canary, 1 req blue slip, and the other for fog lights on and another almost got done for his number plate on the side (cop didnt see it at first)

fog lights on

that's one fine I 100% agree with.

learn to work a switch. same goes for the ultrabright fog brake light. if it's not foggy, turn it off. it dazzles other drivers.

just waiting for someone to come in whinging that their illegal HID bulb conversion got them a fine..

    • So we strip internals of stock ECU, and use one pin, and jumper to another as a pin out, which is our power supplies. Definitely do able. Or we go back to make a new board that fits inside. But we're back to "but it's a skyline" and not worth it now due to small market

    • Which would need the same trick wire routed from the aftermarket ECU to the OEM ECU's plug to make sure the aftermarket ECU won't power up when the OEM ECU is unplugged. Totally doable, just a bit of a pain in the butt.
    • The normal trick would be to leave the factory ECU in place, with a look on it (that eventually goes no where) and reroute the engines wiring to a totally different location, like under a seat and mount the aftermarket ECU there, and then make sure it's hidden.
