Eoi: 18X10 +18 And 18X11 -1 Stitch Evolution Wheels

Recommended Posts

Just putting these out there to see what kind of interest i get as they are a bit too aggressive to fit my supra and i dont really want to modify the gaurds as much as i would need to.

I bought these wheels with my cefiro but won't be tracking the car on them as theyre a bit too rare/expensive to risk smashing them, plus the rears wont fit under the gaurds with slicks so i will just be running some Lenso D1Rs.

They are a 3 Piece rim and are multifit 4/5 (4x114.3 and 5x114.3).

What i would like to do is swap these for something slightly less aggressive in offset (similar width in +20ish offset would be nice), or i will sell these for the right cash offer.

The gold is a bit faded and is peeling in a few spots but there is minimal rash on them and no bends/dents.

Also note i never got the center caps with these wheels but they look better without them if you ask me whistling.gif

If anyone is keen or would like to make an offer contact me through here or SMS me on 0408 117 171.

Cheers,

Daniel

Also the front tires are almost new but unmatching 235s, and the rears are 245's with approx. 30% tread left, can come with matching brand new fronts and 60% rears of the same size if any interest is there.

What are you doing with the car? drift hack? , the wheels kinda make it  . you know , if you buy d1r's, our cars are gunna be pretty close to twins >_<

Yeah they do make it >_< And nah unlikely ill drift it - club days, hill climbs maybe, drags when i feel like it.

Bump! still thinking of selling these, have since found out they are a 2 piece and not 3, and have begun stripping the paint off the centers as the gold is peeling, looking for around 1500 as-is or 1800 painted, or will swap for some decent wheels around the 18x10 +20 mark to suit a 32 GTR

Another bump! $1300 as they sit! 1 rim has been pulled apart and had the center dipped to see how easily the paint will come off, and the other 3 are exactly as pictured.

Bump! all 4 rims now together, one is painted in a darker gold as a test to see if i like it, they were on my car at the last drag meeting if anyone saw the blue 32 GTR there

    • That's probably OK. That's a face to face compression joint between two surfaces with the clamping load provided by those bolts. So.... it's unlikely that the bolts will end up feeling that load in shear, unless the clamping surfaces are not large enough, bolts not got enough tension on them, etc etc to prevent the two faces from moving wrt each other. Which... I would hope the designers have considered, seeing as it's probably one of the most important things the upright has to do apart from resist collapsing in its own right. But yes, it would definitely be worth asking them what their safety factor on that part of the design was. I tend to think that the casting, being a casting, is not necessarily the strongest bit of material in the world. It's about an inch square, and when you think about the loads that are being put into it, you have to wonder what safety factor the Nissan boys (and every other OEM engineer who has designed all the millions of other uprights that look essentially the same) used to account for defective casting, aging, severe impacts on the wheel, etc etc.
    • Those bolts would be orders of magnitude stronger that cast aluminium though.  And its mainly clamping force, not shear they are dealing with?
    • Except all that twisting force that is breaking a cast piece, appears to be going through 4 bolts in the picture Johnny posted of the BryPar one...
    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).
    • Hi, i’m converted my r34 4dr auto to manual but need help with gearbox wiring. There are bunch of wires no idea which one for speedo drive, neutral, reverse can anyone help me. IMG_6860.mov
