So you drove the car all the way through 3rd gear (170km/h-ish... You did all this on a closed, private road right?) and you were only able to pull 4 car lengths on a Hyundai?

I think you're the one who should feel ashamed

I thought it was pretty good considering at the time i had the car for a week and had come

from driving an automatic 1.6L 1986 ford meatore...........

And yes i own a private road with a set of lights on it right outside chermside...

ive put many turbos to shame with the my power additive, beat a 32 without it, lots of falcodores oh oh and a vl turbo at willowbank i was proud of that one, it had the biggest FMIC i have ever seen to bad it probably made the thing come one boost at like 5000rpm. And also at willowbank racing a v8 commodore got the start on it 2 car lengths by half track and then the thing sailed past me like i wasnt moving, i later learned he had nitrous, damn cheating bastard, who would use that shit, i mean really....

i got one for yas

i was driving down the highway with my mate and we saw a v8 commdore, so i drove next to it and let off my bov. Then we looked over and saw it was a hot chick driving with her bf in the passenger seat. So we're looking over smiling and my mate blows her a kiss and her bf was getting so cranky, he starts sticking his finger up and yelling out shit while we were just laughing at him.

The funny thing is that the girl was loving the attention from us, then he was looking through his car and trying to find shit to throw at my car and he threw a pen or something haha and she got real angry at him and turned off the next exit while they had a bitch fight, she waved to us as she merged off though.

ha ha I like merli's story wish i could have seen his face too

Well I have burnt so many ppl I had a good one in the valley once I pulled up to the lights and a v8 commo driver pulled up next to me he was a full bogan and said something to me like think your car is fast mate, i didnt reply although the driver revved his engine then when the lights went green completeley smoked him stright down the middle of the valley was heaps fun. There was some moto cross bike on my left side also that tried to race us also and i smoked him also ha ha.

Once i was driving my dads XK8 jaguar and i pulled up to the lights and a r32 was next to me, as i was looking like a pimp lol his gf checked me out and the car then he revved it up when the lights went green and then stalled it ha ha and i just drove off slowly.Anyone from here?

Good one Ferni :spank:  LOl

I had a fulsik SSS pulsar try to give me a run a few weeks ago.

Same situation, stopped at a red light, he pulls up with his 20 inch chrome wheels, form one lane after the lights.

Lights turn green and he launched (caught me totally off guard), he got about 2 car lenghts infront.

I gave it some stick and of course the rear tires are getting close to being bald so the backend just steps out and I overtake him while going up the road at a 25 degree angle !!

He stayed right back after that.

I think I put him in his place :)  Just a shame his G/F wasn't with him....

Why you so hard on pulsar's man...

Yes some of them are rice and yes I used to own one, but I woul dnot try and run a skyline, except one...the one I now own...the fortunate thing abou that skyline, it used to be owned by the girlfriend, now I have the car and a hot missus...

Oh and I like it when riced up laners seem to think they are all evo's until you decide to plant it, snap second with the BOV right in the ear and scoot by no worries...

On the topic of smoking, the biggest claim n15 pulsar sss, s15 200 runing stock boost...point 1 to the pulsar.

Skyline, mates XR6 turbo, stock (remember the skyline only has a cat back) see ya, point to skyline...admitedly he has 3 people int he car and I only had 2...but still...he got owned

DISCLAIMER: All this happened on the expansive private road I have in my backyard.

Hay, I had no intention to run the SSS Pulsar, but he was determined to show how much of a man he was.

It's not my fault that I blew him away and that he felt bad that I beat him.

If he was embarrased by it, then maybe he should pick people that are in his power range !!!

I've chopped a few people on the bike, but this would have to be the most memorable! I was cruising home from a mate's place (which luckily passes through a private road) and this guy in a yellow Ferrari 355 ragtop slowly pulled up beside me, then gave it a couple of stabs in top gear. I left it in 6th and gave it a bit and backed off, he drops it back and pins it. This leaves me with about 2 or 3 carlengths to regain by the time I get back to 2nd, this just meant I had time to lift the front wheel off the deck to kinda rub it in :) I slowly backed off, changed into 3rd, and he started catching me around 200. I looked across, then waved and nailed 3rd, blew past him again. I was laughing pretty hard but his (hot) missus was pissing herself and hitting him on the shoulder :( And how much was that Ferrari??

In the car, I haven't really run that many people, but I've handed out large cans of whoop arse to SS's, Monaros, and *just* managed to beat a 300kW (or 305 or whatever) Commy. Should be handing out whippings to it once the 'cooler plumbing is done and the PFC is tuned properly :)

thats so not fair, i never have anyone pull up net to me at lights, i allways beg for the lights to go red when i pull up next to gtst's or rexies, or even bikes, but not many want to race, they probably all this i drive a fast car or soemthing, maybe the 150db exhaust or lumpy cams give it away.

since i havent had the mr2 for ages now, driving the lancer (1.8l auto) friday nite in brissy this commodore vp or some crap come up besides me reving up we take off i had 2 other people in the car, and i nailed him :P gotta be happy with that, seeming i just got exhaust hehe and big chromies :( must be those clear lights that give me the power :P felt like the time me and a pulsar raced a vt heading down the M1 stuiped slow vt hehe he didnt let up kept coming back for more, so i turned off. but that stuiped pulsar having a big Q on the back was a lie had something done to it was damn quick :|

but in the mr2 heaps of ****s when trying to merge they slow down and speed up with u trying to race, drop it back to 3rd and seems like there not moving :) gotta love boost

Hehe yeah I had some chick in a Kia Mentor decide that she didn't want to let me in front of her when I was trying to merge onto the Ipswich Motorway at Wacol one time, as soon as she saw me indicate she nailed it and sat up the butt of the car in front. So I just pulled in front of the car she was tailgating while laughing at her and giving her the finger... and no, she wasn't hot :P

I had a guy in a govt car a few years back decide he didn't like me. There was a truck doing 80 in front of me (again, on the Ipswich motorway), so I indicated to change lanes. The bloke driving the Magna in the other lane (about two carlengths back) floored it and plugged the gap. I pulled in behind him, gave a flash of the high beams, and left it at that. Well, the retard just went off his nut, he started brake testing me - which wasn't a problem as I always leave plenty of room, and the 'line brakes are better anyway - and taking off, swerving all over the place, and even hitting the windscreen washers to spray my car with water (wtf??). But the funniest bit (actually the second funniest) was when he'd braked and I'd changed lanes and ended up beside him. He obviously decided that he wanted to get in front again so he nailed it, I just laughed at him and dropped it back, bye bye Magna :P The actual funniest bit though was when he got out of his car when we both stopped at an intersection and he started screaming things like 'I'm gonna farkin kill you' etc, I looked back and he was a 5'6" scrawny balding redhead :bahaha: I got out too, stood so close he was spitting on my arm when he talked, and said 'get the fùck back in your car before you get hurt'. He backed away a couple of steps, got back in his car, wound the window up and sat there looking disgusted until I moved out of the way :finger:

Nothing to fantastic here, just another commodore kill.

Some guy in a VY SS next to me took off like a madman at the lights. Next set of lights decided to give it a bit, due to bald tyres and a dieing clutch I did a tame launch then gunned it, he gained 1/2 a car length, my ass still kicked out and the bald tyres struggled to get traction, but by the time I hit top of second I'd gained a car length and it was all over, he then did the loser flyby.

i like beating cars even tho you are wheelspining left-right and they have full traction :)

hahahahaha davey - is the gt35? on ur car yet?

ps does ur car get wheelspin

i quite enjoy leavin $70k hsv's etc for dead , not coz they are fast cars , but coz the silly bugger has spent so much money on a shitbox.

gotta love beating skylines too hehehe :)

Nah negro... that was with the TD06... THe GT35 is sitting on my dressing table. Waiting on forgies to arrive, then the rb30 gets rebuilt... hopefully not too long now.

Yeah i wanna be able to hand R32/33/34's their asses on a plate :) cuz after all... i'm just a SLO-31

    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
    • Hi,  Just joined the forum so I could share my "fix" of this problem. Might be of use to someone. Had the same hunting at idle issue on my V36 with VQ35HR engine after swapping the engine because the original one got overheated.  While changing the engine I made the mistake of cleaning the throttle bodies and tried all the tricks i could find to do a throttle relearn with no luck. Gave in and took it to a shop and they couldn't sort it. Then took it to my local Nissan dealership and they couldn't get it to idle properly. They said I'd need to replace the throttle bodies and the ecu probably costing more than the car is worth. So I had the idea of replacing the carbon I cleaned out with a thin layer of super glue and it's back to normal idle now. Bit rough but saved the car from the wreckers 🤣
    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
