Hey guys and gals!

Well, since SAU:New South Wales is going to be down in Canberra over August 20th and 21st for an MDTC day and then our social dinner, we figure we might as well chuck a cruise into the mix and make a proper weekend of it! So I introduce to you, our SAU:NSW 21st of August Social Cruise!

***Please note change of plans due to numbers of attendance and a crazy truck blockade that may have interrupted plans!!***

Event: SAUNSW 21st of August Social Cruise

Location:

From: SDMA Hill Climb Track, Sutton Road NSW (just out of Canberra)

To: Various sightseeing destinations around Canberra

Date: 21st of August 2011

Time:10:30AM SDMA Hill Climb Track, Sutton Road NSW

Approx Length: 3 Hours

What is it: A family friendly SAU NSW Cruise!

Cost:What ever you pick off the menu for lunch!

Overview:

Meet at the local hill climb track - I'll be one of the short blonde chicks with a white 32 GTR :)

Cans of drink and food like bacon and egg rolls, sausages etc available at the hill climb.

From there since Eric will have his video equipment on board we plan to do some sightseeing to check out what is around in the nation's capital!

Possible destinations on this cruise will be:

Air Disaster Memorial

Mt Ainslie

Black Mountain (Telstra Tower)

Red Hill Lookout

Parliament House

Art Gallery (several sites along the water for great photos)

Almost all of these places have cafes and good places to eat so that can be TBD on the day depending on how we all feel!

FYI, I'm pretty sure the section of the route immediately to the left of the word 'currawang' on the map is dirt, not terrible if it has been graded recently but can get quite bad at times. The road through Lake Bathurst past Wakefield isn't bad but will make the route longer...

I have an alternative, it's a bit more highway but apparently the bit up past Lake Bathurst isn't a bad drive!

Estimated time on this one is a little shorter at 2 hours 20 minutes.

Sorry for the mix up folks! Matt tell me what you think of this one!

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
