Superlap / World Time Attack Challenge 2011 - Vic Roll Call

Recommended Posts

So who's going from Victoria?? I'm pumped! The lineup this year is insane, with some VERY quick cars hitting up Pro class this year I can't wait to see these time attack weapons throw down at Eastern Creek raceway :D Open class looks the goods too with a lot of very well prepped cars competing this year. Chasers have a super quick looking Evo entered and there's a lot of big dollar cars in the field, this will be an awesome event!

Bring the noise

I'm going with my bro and a mate, flying up on Sat morning only for the day. Will be awesome, very excited to see the cars in action. As you said some of those cars are just mental, can't wait to get up there!!

 I'm heading up on Thursday morning with Campbell and we're meeting up with Russell and driving up. Can't wait, road trip and an awesome few days coming up. Driving back on Sunday. Edited by llama_au

f**k driving!! I'm flying up :D See you peeps there. Will be the biggest time attack event in Australia!

Your the buff dude yeah? I'll say hi if i see ya lol :D

Russell is entering his car as well?

Hey guys, I pre-bought tickets for both days but am now unable to go. If anyone is interested and wants to save on entry, send me a PM. Am located in Northern Suburbs but am flexible.

Just checked the times....

HOLY SH1T.....Russman - awesome time so far

......and the big name workshop cars are putting in some great times esp considering some of the aussie built ones haven't had much development.

So sad I'm stuck at work and not in Syd for this :(

Thanks Ant. 44.4 so far and just had the car tuned again. More power it seems and more time in my driving. 42 isn't out of the question...

Hows that for a prediction....got any clues about the tatts no's for an upcoming draw? ;)

As echo'd in the motorsports section a 1:42 around EC is blindingly fast and I can't wait to see what you will put down at PI now that you are confident with the car.

Well done, the time is a credit to the build and the driver

    • I’m here solo don’t have any hands to help so haven’t hit it with a timing light
    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
