ROFL Dean..

Your guess is as good as mine..

But I do know, Tillbrooks are working pretty hard to get them finished. I think its almost been a year now that they have not been on the road. Its ironic, i have never seen John race the whole time we've been together, maybe I am bad luck?

Ps. Congratulations Matt... I wanna see your burnouts!

Andy, yeah mate the track was much grippier than the Wednesday night, as you'd expect. I still had 1st and 2nd gear w/spin on most of the passes, but 3rd was fine.

As Chops said there was quite a few running, but at least 5 passes would've been had from start to finish.

Congrats on the 11.93 Martin, I'm slowly working my way down there. If you go mid 11's at LS1 Nats then I'm out of the ball park again :)

I'd love to head over and run at Heathcote, Keir vs. Theo would be worth the trip alone, but it's just not practical for me atm :D

Henry mentioned Keir has a few 2nd hand sets of 275/40/17 NT555R's up for sale. I wouldn't mind snapping a set up for the right price! Maybe a 1.8-1.9 would see me into the 11's? If Ben did it then I don't see why I can't. Practice makes perfect.

Yeah Chops, Wayne got me lined-up in the water and then had me stay on it a LOT longer than I would have normally, and it worked :D Pity the Torrie stuffed me 'cause I was on a quick one :(

Yep Matty still on the same tyres I've been using all along! It was in my usual 100% street trim. Full interior, full exhaust and a completely chockers tank of juice.

I used to be a 14sec driver in a 12sec car, now I'm 12sec driver in an 11sec car :D

I had a run vs. a 32 GT-R - he ran 12.1 @ 122+ vs. my 12.6 @ 119+ and had 97mph at 660' vs. my 92mph. He had a clean pass once of the line, so it shows I've got more top end to come. I just need a clean 5k launch. The 32 had just the drivers seat left in the interior and a side pipe exhaust.

Thanks Erica :)

It probably would've been a bloody good and very close match-up btw you and that 32 GT-R Martin. He mentioned his quickest to date was 11.6 @ 125mph. He had a best of 11.8 on Saturday night.

I wonder how much extra grunt and ET/TS improvements I'd see from removing my exhaust and interior trim? Naaa stuff it... then it wouldn't be a "full trim street car".

I was all lined up side by side ready to give Keir a whooping, and the bugger cut the first amber, red lighted, and sucked me into the same. You really have to watch him being the car in the other lane. The acceleration from around 400ft is incredible. I checked his timecard afterwards, 1/2 track mph 122, mine 92. 30mph....GULP.

Holy shit, 30mph! That's a massive difference over a very short length of track.

92mph at 660' hey? My best is 92mph at 1/2 track. What rwkw and terminals are you getting in the Tonner?

Ive got around 295 - 300rwkw depending on the conditions. Have run 115.9 mph, but also have 1650kg + me to push. The biggest problem is the aerodynamic wind brake that the Tonner applies. It cuts the air like a poorly designed brick. Wipes maybe 3 - 4mph off it at that speed.

Yeah, its been the development bed for GenX2. The kit gave it - at this stage - 10mph and 0.8 seconds improvement over the baseline. Not bad for the money. Like I said though we will go faster, maybe around 11.6 ish. Then the GenX2 comes off, the stocker engine out, and the 427 cuber goes in!

If I was looking to upgrade my LS1 powered Holden I'd be very hard pressed to go past the GenX2 kit. It seems like a very well priced package!

427, very nice. Will that see forced induction too?

True.. Can't beat a big cranky V8.

Only thing that puts me off it these days (while i'm at uni) is the damn fuel consumption.

Hence why I sold my VS V8 that I spent shiet loads on modifying. 5ltr isn't a good option to modify. Once you slap a cam in them they tend to be rather gutless below 3500rpm. Powerband is rather narrow etc. It always felt like it needed a gear inbetween the gears I was in to pull out of a corner hard.

And Matt, GenX2 is ADR approved....

I want to make around 700hp (about 440rwkw or so) without forced induction using the LeMans developed Corvette C5R endurance racing components. Nothing like having a big cranky lump of alloy under the bonnet

Now THAT I can't wait to see!

Dont confuse old school V8 tuning with the latest generation stuff. Its a big mistake. Well setup a C5R should be producing around 500Nm, at 2200rpm, on its way to 900Nm by 4500rpm. It should only need two gears.... but a six speed Holinger would be better :D

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
