got all the body in primer today, modified the airbox for a bit more induction noise and took Dave the Mira for a lap around the block. It goes suprisingly well, better than i thought it would.

Wheelspin through first and then some slight grip issues when flat changing to second!

Got all the mirrors and windscreen panel repainted black, they turned out okay so i tried the rear bar. came up good i reckon.

Just don't know if it will stay that way.

also added some spare number plates from the shed, just for giggles

I'll have to get some vids soon. Motorkhana season doesn't start till feb 2012, and it'll be my first time out so we'll see.

I am taking it to work next week tho, where we have a huge carpark, might cut some laps and record some action.

oh, and it may be getting dynoed next week too, just for a laughthumbsup.gif

Took dave the Mira into work today for a wheel align, was a fair bit out after lowering it 3.5"

Just need to take it down to the dyno on tuesday and let it smoke the rollers! lol

So today was the big day! strapped the little Mira down to the dyno and reeled off some huge numbers.

Running slight advance in the timing, 95 octane fuel, hot air intake and oversize exhaust it made........

25.6kw!

what a beast, preety surprised to be honest, thought it would make less than 20kw

you can watch the video here, i'll do a youtube one later!

Start looking for gearbox conversions if your hard on the gear. Now I've been there and done that with rb powered street car (2007-2022) much prefer newer stuff. Anything 90's Japanese is not a great experience these days and highly over rated. My 2015 Brz with a heap of suspension mods is such a better car even with out the power of my old s chassis' even on track. If wanting to play light chassis and decent power for a  giggle a k swap 86/brz would be the go Check my old build for engine stuff I really need to pay attention to post 2016 BMW stuff but seem all very heavy 1600+kg
    • I mean, the 240i is not a Supra... make it drop a few hundred kg, have a sportscar chassis, clearance for wheels etc... Maybe I want a hardtop Z40i XDrive or something :p I do agree with you though and have long said the B58 Supra/240i/340i/440i is the new R Chassis/JDM90's turbo rocket for mod lovers to ... not always appreciative response lol. Doesn't make it not true though.
    • I will do the build myself but I will be paying for the tune because I don't know how much about that and would rather it be done right and by a professional
    • Will you build and tune it yourself or do you need to pay for labour?
    • Mechanically that's essentially what the M240i is, it's just not pretending it's not a BMW
