sweet!!

I'll get a VL thenwait..speaking of cold tyres on warm up - didnt some douche roll a mini in the warm up lap a couple of years ago?

wasnt it an AFL player?

wouldn't that be for the person who manages to lose the most amount of positions before the first corner?

and how about a Gympie Award, for the most bogan car?

Your wagon would be a contender.

that was duncan in a deawoooooooooo and yes it was embarrassing..... mainly for him

the webber award should go to the person (male or female) who grows the bigest beard during the race

or the person who can throw up in their helmet the most, while still being able to race. or just the person with the biggest chin.

totally unfair. that was cold tyre's fault.

speaking which:

* Cold Tyres award - for the most avoidable crash. Also known as the "No-one told me to pump the brakes after a pad change award sponsored by David Besnard"

Chris, good idea entering under a psuedonym.

hahahaha, i like that idea

what about the dick johnson award, for the car that manages to hit a rock on the track and get totalled.

or the 92 bathurst award, for the person who is able to crash their car but manage to still win the race thanks to a perfectly timed red flag

or the craig lowndes award for the car that can flip the most times off the side of the track. there could be a similar mark webber based award for the car that gets the most air time while flipping.

or the hamilton award, for the person who can take out the most people in a season

and the vettel award for the most annoying prick

Marulan? Ugh! So no screamers on the track or in Barrons corporate caravan :(

Also means I'd have to leave my neighbours at home... I don't think the chick would like what they do to quieten down a noisy bit of kit...

Can I enter a rotary at this event and get a trophy to prove I’m a real WANKR, I will drop oil everywhere, blow big flames and drive up and down the pits revving the crap out if it.

awards for dickheads reving rotaries in the pits for no reason will be given out

consiting of a elbow to the throat multiple times

I'm pretty sure that award can be safely presented before the event.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
